Professional Dog Trainer

*If this is your first booking with Rover, I have a promo code if you book with me. Ask me about it!* Hi all! I'm Brittany and I've been a dog trainer since 2013. I have taught obedience classes at several PetCo locations, at private facilities, and facilitated several in-home sessions. I have experience with all breeds and am familiar with all of the needs of each breed. I have conducted Canine Good Citizen classes and I choose to practice good manners with the pups. I believe in positive reinforcement and will ensure adequate physical exercise and mental stimulation. I've attended training conferences to learn updated methods from the world's top animal behaviorists. I currently work a lot with local groups to assist with dog sporting events. I also work with local vets providing relief for pups through current medical advancements. Feel free to reach out with any questions! I look forward to meeting you! Talk to me about adding training sessions to your pup’s stay! We can work on basic obedience including sit, down, wait, stay, leave-it, and leash walking. I can also work on leash reactivity. Sessions are an hour each and cost $62 per session. I also offer board and train programs, but those require a free assessment first. BOARDING REQUIREMENTS: 1. ALL PUPS MUST BE CRATE TRAINED 2. ALL PUPS MUST BRING THEIR OWN CRATE 3. ALL PUPS WILL BE TEMPERAMENT TESTED DURING THEIR FIRST VISIT 4. PICK UP AND DROP OFF TIMES MUST BE SCHEDULED IN ADVANCE

This was our first experience with boarding our Frenchie. She had never really been comfortable around other dogs, so we were a bit concerned. There certainly was no reason to be. Brittany was absolutely fantastic with her. She followed Olive's cues, and allowed her to adjust to her new surroundings. We kept in contact frequently, and loved the photos that she sent us. We will definitely have Brittany take care of Olive in the future. The whole experience with Rover and Brittany has been fantastic!

Brittany and Michael cared for my anxiety prone German Shepherd fog this weekend and exceeded my expectations. They provided daily feedback and pics which I loved. Rykerr was happy and relaxed after his boarding experience there and I cannot say that when we have boarded him at a traditional dog kennel. Highly recommend!

Brittany took great care of my dog, Daisy. She sent pictures daily with reports. Daisy had a great time playing with the other dogs there. I will Definitely use Brittany again.

Brittany was awesome. I chatted with her for a bit about Bullseye's habits, and when she took the leash, Bullseye went with her and never looked back LOL. Brittany sent me pictures and Bullseye clearly was having a great time! Drop off and pick up were super easy and we'll definitely board Bullseye again when we're in town visiting with our grandchildren.

Brittany and her husband are great! Our meet and great was just as I hoped it would be, low stress and very straightforward which was great for my sometimes anxious pup. My dog came home from her first stay happy and the perfect amount of tired. I have already booked my pup’s next stays with Brittany

Schedule

I’m a full time dog trainer and work from home, so I’m always hanging out with the dogs. I have a full day routine. We’re up early, everyone potties, we eat breakfast, then we play! Play groups will alternate between play and rest all day until dinner. The pups get many more play times than facilities. If your dog hasn’t been stimulated enough during play time, I will work on training, brain games, or have some individualized play. Dinner is around 6p and we will have a little play after, followed by some inside cozy time with me. The last potty time is right before everyone goes to bed. For scheduling purposes, I have implemented new guidelines. Hours that are available for pick up and drop off are Monday-Friday 7a-7p and Saturday 9-5. You must drop off and pick up within those hours and you must schedule a time with me prior to the day of the booking. You will receive a 30 minute floating window for drop off/pick up. If you miss your time or have to reschedule it the day of, there is a $10 fee. The $10 fee also applies to last minute bookings (same day bookings). I have had an issue with clients having a huge floating window and it’s become an issue with play groups and being fair to the pups here. I’m also trying to establish some kind of personal life for my family and the new hours will help me do that. I really appreciate your understanding!

Safety, trust & environment

All dogs must be crate trained and bring their own crate. I will assess your dog during the meet and greet. I will not do dog introductions during meets, but it will give your dog time to familiarize themselves with the place and allow us time to talk about their care/our routine. I have a large fenced in yard and dogs are always supervised in the yard and during play. The inside is gated off to separate the bedrooms so nobody is unattended. They will sleep in my office next to our bedroom, hence why I require them to be comfortable in a crate. The dogs have a blast and I have rules during play time to keep everyone safe and happy. Positive reinforcement is used to help me maintain control of the group.

Pets

A typical day

Day camp is included in the boarding service. I have play groups all day. In the summer, the dogs have several pools to play in. I have an agility course out sometimes during play groups to provide a fun environment for them to run around in. I am constantly in training mode, so I may work your dog in a training session to get them extra tired. I don’t usually do walks due to the amount of exercise they already get, but I may pick one to join me for a nice neighborhood walk. You’ll receive daily pictures and updates. The dogs tend to get dirty in the yard. Sometimes you’ll be able to see exactly how much fun they had! :) I offer an exit bath, so just let me know if you would like to add that to your service!

My requirements include being up to date on shots, fixed, some experience with group play, and able to sleep comfortably in their own crate. I like to make pick up and drop off as easy as possible for your dog, so please say goodbye before you drop them off. The initial drop off can be a little worrisome for your dog, so I try to have an easy transition. Also, since I’m so busy during the day, make sure to schedule times beforehand. Text when you’re headed my way. This gives me time to settle everything down and makes for less chaos and less wait time. Feel free to ask any questions!
