Pet care experience
Fur mama and nurse for yours too!
Animals have always been a central part of my life. I grew up with a variety of dogs and cats, and even considered veterinary school before choosing a career in nursing. Now, I work full-time from home as a triage nurse, which allows me to care for animals throughout the day while being present with my family. Our home is filled with love and furry friends—including our adored German Shepherd, a cuddly orange tabby cat, and two playful guinea pigs. My 6-year-old daughter arguably loves animals even more than I do! She’s been raised to treat all creatures with kindness and enjoys helping care for them every chance she gets. We enjoy going on adventures, daily walks, and weekend outings, but we also love cozy days at home. My husband is off on weekends, and we love including dogs in our family activities. I treat every pet like my own and will spoil them with love, attention, and care. We’re so excited to welcome new dogs into our home and can’t wait to make them part of our extended furry family!

Ratings and reviews
Brittanie and Nathan are amazing sitters! They took care of our dog like he was their own and sent plenty of updates during his stay. This is our second stay with them and we will definitely continue to book with them in the future!

Kai was happy and well cared for. Brittanie gave updates and pictures and was very accommodating when our flight got delayed. I hope to use them again!

They took such great care of our pup and sent daily updates. Will definitely book again in the future!

Brittanie and Nathan are so good with our goldens. I’m not sure they wanted to come home!!
Brittanie and Nathan were so awesome and took really good care of Moose. Great communication and treated him like there own!

Brittanie is the best! Kind, trustworthy and extremely communicative. Our little Bichon is always so happy and feels right at home when she stays over. Honey is spoiled with walks, love and attention and LOVES their dog, Andi. It is such a relief to have Brittanie in our lives for our sweet Honey girl. Hands down, best sitter out there! We love her!
Calendar and availability
Schedule
I work full-time from home as a triage nurse, working three 12-hour shifts each week, so I am available most days/times of the week! My schedule gives me the flexibility to take breaks throughout the day to let the fur kids outside for fresh air and playtime. My home office is the favorite hangout spot—our pets love to keep me company while I work! My husband is off on weekends, and we love incorporating the dogs into our weekend activities, whether it's going for walks, exploring local parks, or just relaxing at home. On my days off, I’m usually around the house, with the occasional errand or trip to one of my daughter’s activities. I’m also an avid runner and make time for daily walks—sometimes more than one! We’re excited to welcome your pups into our home and can’t wait to include them in our family’s routine and adventures.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. We have a fully enclosed 6-foot privacy-fenced yard—perfect for safe outdoor play and potty breaks. Our home is within walking distance to downtown Matthews, so your pup can enjoy daily walks and fun neighborhood adventures. Inside, your pet will feel right at home. Our furniture and beds are open to all furry guests—because in our house, your dog is family. Whether they’re lounging in my home office or snuggled up on the couch, they’ll be treated with love and care. I pride myself on excellent communication and will keep you updated with multiple daily messages and photos. Whether your dog is relaxing in my home office or joining us for weekend outings, you’ll always feel confident and connected knowing your pet is being treated like family every step of the way.

A typical day
A typical day with me as your dog sitter is all about making sure your pup feels happy, safe, and loved. I start by greeting them with lots of positive energy and making sure they’re comfortable and ready for the day. Depending on their needs and personality, we might go for a nice walk around the neighborhood or play a game of fetch. If your dog is more laid-back, we’ll enjoy some quiet time with belly rubs, cuddles, and companionship. On warm days, dogs can splash and cool off in the doggy pool—it's a favorite for those who love water play! I always provide photo updates so you can see how much fun your dog is having while you're away. Every dog is treated like family, and I tailor each visit to make sure they feel safe, entertained, and well cared for.

- Before caring for your dog, I like to know as much as possible to ensure they have a safe, comfortable, and fun experience. Please let me know about any special needs, medical conditions, or medications your dog may require, along with detailed instructions for feeding and routines. It’s also helpful to know about any specific behaviors—such as anxiety triggers, reactivity, or quirks so I can provide the best care and avoid any stress for your pup. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can tailor our time together to meet your dog’s unique needs and personality.
