Our main dog room is a finished garage. It is temperature controlled and there are a minimum of two doors/fences between your dogs and any exits or other dogs. Every door is sturdy and kept locked while I’m not home. The other dogs in the home do not make much noise so your dogs probably won’t even know they exist :) I do keep white noise on in the room as well. This includes a loud fan or the AC plus “dog tv” at a comfortable volume. I know some dogs need time to feel safe in a new environment. So I spend the first hour or two letting them come and go, walking them on leash to grow trust, and sitting with them in the kennel. I wait until they’re comfortable before I leave them alone. There is also a nanny camera on them at all times. I check it through the day to make sure they are not nervous at any time. We do have some dog friendly dogs in the home. If you’d like your dog to make a friend , let me know and I will SAFELY and slowly introduce them the way I do with all of my dogs in the rescue!
