I'm a stained glass artist with a home studio so my schedule is flexible and adaptable to your usual pet care routines. I don't mind early mornings and will be available throughout the day and even late evenings. When I'm staying overnight at a client's house, I do still maintain other appointments and caretaking. Once we're booked for care, I'll disclose my schedule as needed to make sure everyone is cared for while you're out.

When I come to your home, I'm there to serve your household. I take lots of notes and try to leave without a trace. I prefer to learn and operate with your preferred routine(s) for any of your critters, including medical treatment. I greatly appreciate written details of your household needs and routines outside of the app in case it goes down for updates while you're traveling. If you are traveling internationally, we need to make sure there are clear expectations for communications and check-ins. Rover helps provide structure for each visit but please consider what information you need shared to feel comfortable while I'm taking care of your pets.

When we're working together, tell me everything. I want to know the "oh yeah" quirks of your pet. Do they like eating when you eat? Let me know! Do they have a favorite blanket or snack/treat? Please let me know where I can find those in your home. I also find it helpful to have emergency contacts like your vet, friend or a neighbor in case of an emergency. I'm thrilled to work with all kinds of personalities and breeds but have the most experience with large breed dogs and cats of all ages. I do appreciate printed instructions to reference, as I don't want to bother you during your trips.
A typical day
When I'm hanging out with your pets at your house, I will do the best I can to stick to their normal routines. If they're morning walkers and day-long grazing, I'll set them up first thing. I find that being associated with food helps us bond and not see me as a complete stranger. For cats specifically, after we get to know each other, we'll play with a laser, do a puzzle, or cuddle. I'll always provide a picture of the time we spend together.

Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with decades of experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’ve been caring for pets since the late 1900s and I bring a calm, confident energy that animals respond to. I have a special soft spot for senior pets and animals with medical needs. I’m experienced in administering medications and providing gentle, attentive care to pets that need a little extra love. I also have a knack for winning over shy or moody pets. I love creating a safe, playful environment where they feel comfortable being themselves. I’ll do my best to “get eyes on” your shy and independent types at every visit. At home, I care for a large dog and three cats, so I’m very familiar with different ages, temperaments, routines, and quirks possible in a single household. Whether your pet is high-energy, laid-back, or somewhere in between, I’ve got the experience and flexibility to keep them happy and comfortable. Britt is the best! Excellent at communication and our girls love her. When we travel, we know we don't have to worry at all about how our girls are doing. Very, very highly recommend Britt to take care of your pets.
As always, Britt was amazing with our 3 needy cats! She was even able to pill the one I can't even get to take his meds, and got kisses from the one who hates everybody. Highly recommend her for any of your pet sitting needs!
Britt is excellent and made my first international trip much less stressful. Britt made sure I knew how all 3 of my cats were doing while I was gone and even made sure my plants were well cared for. I will 100% be booking Britt again for any future trips.
