Hello! My name is Brismar and I moved to NYC 12 years ago to pursue my doctorate in Chemistry. I grew up with dogs and have worked as a volunteer in a shelter back at home (Puerto Rico). I truly love spending my free time surrounded by dogs, that is why I decided to joined Rover (around 8 years ago). I am looking forward to play with and take care of your dog (or cat). I will be very attentive and patient with your pet. Regardless of what service you request, I promise a lot of playtime, care and snuggles! They will have a great time!! :)

I give my 100% when I take care of dogs/ cats, and I like to give individual attention to each pet. Therefore, for day-care services, I only accept one dog at the time. This is to ensure that your fur baby have all my attention and to guarantee the most effective- and best quality service. **Exceptions: If the dogs live in the same house or are friends/ get alone well.

Brismar was absolutely wonderful. She connected with my cat, kept me updated with detailed cards and generally great communication, and went above and beyond in making sure my cat was cared for in all aspects. Highly recommended!

I could not recommend Brismar more... 10/10, 5 stars!!! My partner and I have a 10 month old English Cocker Spaniel, and this was our first time being away from him for more than a few days... as well as our first time using Rover. I reached out to Brismar because of her glowing reviews and the genuine love for animals that came through in her profile. I can confidently say that your pet would be in wonderful hands with her! As a slightly anxious puppy mom myself, I was instantly put at ease by how naturally Brismar connected with our puppy. She came by for a meet and greet before the stay, which made us feel even more comfortable having her watch our crazy pup. Throughout our trip, Brismar sent adorable updates, administered our puppy's medication, and even got his eating schedule back on track. :) She took him on fun adventures, gave him so much love and attention, and treated him like he was her own! It truly warmed my heart. When we returned home, our apartment was spotless. Brismar was incredibly respectful, thoughtful, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. She truly knows what she's doing, and I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. I highly recommend Brismar to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, kind, and experienced pet sitter! :)
Brismar did an amazing job watching my two dogs! Everything was kept tidy, the dogs were clearly well fed and cared for, and communication throughout was excellent. She was also incredibly patient and understanding when one of my dogs decided to go on a little hunger strike. I felt totally at ease knowing they were in such good hands. Highly recommend! 🤎🐾
Brismar went above and beyond taking care of my cats while I was away! She adhered to their special care instructions, was communicative, and went the extra mile when one of my cats had an accident outside the litter box. She is all I could ask for in a cat sitter and I cannot recommend her enough!
Brismar took great care of my cat Emmie and kept me updated throughout her sit! She sent lots of photos and was super responsive :) I will definitely be booking again with Brismar, and highly recommend her to others!

Schedule
I’m an adjunct professor, so my schedule varies every semester. I typically work 2-3 days at campus, and the rest I work from home. I’ll do my best to accommodate your dog/cat care in my schedule. They will receive all the love and attention they deserve
