Pet care experience

Attentive and communicative care

Hi, I’m Bee, and I’ve helped take care of dogs and cats for around 6 years. I don’t have any pets of my own (yet!), but I have assisted friends with dogsitting and also Rover-ing! I’ve also fostered cats, and that has given me an edge in knowing how to make an animal comfortable quickly, especially in a new environment. I also have experience in giving powder, pill, and eyedrop medication. I believe that in order to give your pet the best care, we should work together and be on the same page about your pet’s needs, habits, and anything else you’d like to share! I also love taking photos of them and sending them to update you on how they’re doing. If this all sounds great, send me a message!

Schedule

I work fully remote, so I have time to take your dog(s) on walks generally before 8:30 AM, sometime in the afternoon, and after work at 6 PM. We can work out an appropriate schedule that most closely mimics their usual routine!

Safety, trust & environment

Within my community, we have a dog park, so depending on how comfortable you are with allowing your dog(s) to socialize with others while you are away, I can take them there or map a new route to avoid the dog park if needed. Around the community we have some good routes for walking as well as a pond in case your pup wants to explore and smell! In my home, we avoid any strong scents, plants, chemicals and cleaning products that could pose harm to animals. Trash is secured in a cabinet.

A typical day

On walks and outside, I like to give them a chance to explore and decide where they want to go while 1) watching them like a hawk 2) letting them know that I’m here and safe if they need reassurance! If they want to play indoors, I have stairs that lots of pets love running up and down either chasing a ball or a laser pointer (gives them a great workout too). If allowed to give treats and I feel they want something interesting, I’ll give it to them in a puzzle so they can exercise their brain! If they want some cuddles or quality time, I love giving them good scratches and finding out where they like being pet the best!

To make sure they have the best experience possible, I’d love to know a couple of things! 1) Any dietary restrictions or allergies? 2) Favorites (toys, places to be pet, foods, etc.) 3) Dislikes (situations, foods, etc.) 4) Prey drive, i.e. Will they chase after things? 5) Their usual schedule, so I can adjust! When you reach out me, I’ll also go over the above, so no need to send the answers right away! More of an FYI of what to expect ☺️
