I worked as a pet sitter all throughout college and many times since then over the years with literally hundreds of dogs of all breeds and sizes. I'd be hard pressed to think of a kind of dog I haven't either walked or housesat with at this point! Ever since I was a child, dogs have always been an endless source of joy. A few years ago, I even wrote a children's book about my landlord's dog, so suffice it to say that these charming creatures are rarely far from my mind!

I learned when I worked for West Hartford Petsitters in college just how much every dog is different and to approach each client with a fresh set of eyes to learn what works best for each dog. Some need frequent attention, some need their space; some will lounge on the couch and barely want to walk to the end of the block while others will need marathon walks and lots of fetch! It's so fun getting to know dogs and their many personality quirks. What's more, figuring all of this out requires a conscientious level of communication with a dog's owners so that we can ensure that our furry friends are expertly served!

It was our first time having an inhouse pet sitter and Brien was wonderful. He was willing to meet with us a couple of weeks before hand which reassured us about having a stranger in our house. When a last minute health issue threw our plans up in the air, he was very empathetic and willing to work with us. We did get away as planned and Brien sent us a daily update and photos. Our dog is 15 years old, so a health issue can always develop unexpectedly, but Brien was confident he could hand anything that comes along. Highly recommend.

Brien took my request to housesit my 2 dogs at the last minute when my previous boarder cancelled. He took great care of my babies & was fantastic with communication & pictures while I was away. Additionally, he was very accommodating when my cleaners came while he was there. I'd definitely hire Brien again!

Schedule
I currently have a fully remote job, so this would complement my lifestyle nicely and brighten up my day with some dog time (and very much vice versa!).
