Information Bridget C. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for your pet, I'd love to learn about their routine, personality, and any special needs they may have. Helpful information includes: • Typical feeding, walking, and bathroom schedules • Energy level and exercise preferences • Any medical conditions, medications, or mobility concerns • Behavioral quirks, fears, or triggers (other dogs, loud noises, etc.) • Favorite toys, treats, and activities • Commands they know and what works best for them during walks The more I know about your pet, the better I can provide care that feels familiar, safe, and enjoyable for them.

A typical day

Every pet is different, so I tailor my care to their individual needs and energy level. For active dogs, that may mean a brisk walk, a jog, playtime, and plenty of opportunities to explore. For senior dogs or more laid-back pups, I focus on a comfortable pace, enrichment, companionship, and lots of affection. During visits, I make sure pets have fresh water, bathroom breaks, exercise, and attention. I also love incorporating playtime, belly rubs, and plenty of positive reinforcement. Throughout the visit, I'll send updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and enjoy a few cute moments from their day.

Pet care experience

Hi, I'm Bridget! Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier and have spent years caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. In December 2019, I adopted my senior rescue dog, Abbott, a Chihuahua mix who quickly became my best friend and constant companion. She passed away in March 2026, and caring for her through her senior years taught me so much about patience, compassion, and attentive pet care. I currently have a 2-year-old rescue pup named Clover, who is incredibly sweet and keeps me smiling every day. I'm a licensed therapist by profession, which means I bring patience, reliability, strong communication skills, and a calm presence to every interaction—both with pets and their humans. My husband and I recently moved to Long Island for his medical residency, but I'm not new to Rover. I've been dog walking and pet sitting through Rover for years while living in Washington, DC and Philadelphia, and I've loved building relationships with pets and their families along the way. I'm an active person and enjoy walking, running, and spending time outdoors. Whether your dog prefers a leisurely stroll, a brisk walk, or a jogging companion to burn off extra energy, I'm happy to tailor our time together to their needs. When caring for your pet, I treat them like one of my own. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else's hands, and I take that responsibility seriously. You can expect dependable care, regular updates, and plenty of photos so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and loved. I can't wait to meet you and your pup!
