About Beast

According to everyone who has ever met him, Beast is the actual best dog in the world. He is incredibly loving who likes to be held like a baby and just doesn't want to be a bother. He's an old man who thinks he's a young human. He's having some very minor back and kidney problems that we are sorting out, but he still acts like he did as a puppy!

  • Sex: Male
  • Age: 14 years, 8 mo. old
  • Weight: 9 lbs
  • Breed: Pekingese & Poodle
  • Tracking Chip: Yes
  • Neutered: Yes
  • House Trained: Yes
He is housetrained, but he is also pretty old. He has never barked to scratched the door to be let out, so now that he his bladder just isn't what it used to be (and he was having some kidney issues that we have dealt with), there can be occasional accidents if you aren't paying attention. I put a diaper on him when I leave the house to avoid accidents (which is not necessary for others watching him, but it's just for my peace of mind).
  • Gets along with children: Yes
As an old man, he avoids children who are grabby or overly excited. He lets them do whatever they want to him with the saddest "help me" eyes, but he definitely isn't a god who just loves to play.
  • Gets along with other dogs: Yes
He thinks he is human and is ambivalent towards other dogs. He will lets overly friendly pups know that he has no time for their nonsense in the cutest, grumpy old man fashion.
  • Gets along with cats: Yes

Special Requirements

He needs his comfy bed, old man food that is easy on the kidneys, and a daily treat for his joints.

About Brutus

He is a goofy little thing who loves two things in this world: Beast and his Blue Hippo (we have 30 of them..... they are the only toys he will play with). He is a low energy couch potato who wants to snuggle under the blanket and will "knock" to get you to pick up your legs or open the blanket. It is totally fine if he is not allowed on the couch. He's a little spoiled and can live with staying on his own bed on the floor.

  • Sex: Male
  • Age: 7 years, 4 mo. old
  • Weight: 5 lbs
  • Breed: Yorkshire Terrier
  • Tracking Chip: Yes
  • Neutered: Yes
  • House Trained: Yes
He is really small and if he is playing with his toy for a while you may need to stop him to go outside. (He gets too excited and then gets surprised when he suddenly has to poop). Also, he may need to go out twice in a row. He will sometimes just pee and run inside because he think he gets a treat (or vice versa).
  • Gets along with children: Yes
He knows how small he is and may avoid/hide from overly grabby or excited children (and children are drawn to him because he is so small).
  • Gets along with other dogs: Yes
  • Gets along with cats: Yes

About Finley

He LOVES EVERYONE. I can not explain that enough. He loves to play, he loves to cuddle, he loves people, he loves other dogs, he loves children, he doesn't understand anger. He was hit by a car while running across the street to greet someone. He pelvis was shattered (which required a bajillion dollars worth of emergency surgery) and he couldn't use his back legs, so he used his front paws to pull himself the rest of the way to get pets from the man... his tail was wagging the whole time. He annoys the crap out of Beast and Beast will "snap" at him (which is harmless and hilarious), but he will just lick the inside of Beast's mouth (which is gross and hilarious).

  • Sex: Male
  • Age: 3 years, 9 mo. old
  • Weight: 10 lbs
  • Breed: Chihuahua, Irish Terrier & Jack Russell Terrier
  • Tracking Chip: Yes
  • Neutered: Yes
  • House Trained: Yes
He can be a bit of an escape artist. If you leave a gate open for 30 seconds, you need to check and see where he is.
  • Gets along with children: Yes
He LOVES EVERYONE. He is the perfect dog for a house full of kids and has energy just shy of annoying.
  • Gets along with other dogs: Yes
He LOVES EVERYONE. He loves, loves, loves to play with other dogs.
  • Gets along with cats: Yes
    He LOVES EVERYONE.
