I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. My first pet was actually a hermit crab that I got when I was around five years old, and since then I’ve always loved caring for animals. When I was around 12, my family adopted a 5-year-old Golden Retriever, which was my first real experience helping take care of a dog. As a teenager, I volunteered at my local humane society where I helped walk dogs and spent time playing with them so they could get some exercise and attention. As an adult, I’ve continued caring for animals by helping watch dogs and cats for family and friends, along with raising pets of my own. I currently have two 8-year-old cats that I adopted from a shelter when they were about 5 months old. I also had two guinea pigs who lived long, happy lives. So at one point I was caring for four small animals at once, which could definitely be a challenge sometimes, but it was also such a rewarding experience. It taught me a lot about patience, routines, and how every animal has their own personality and needs. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I always do my best to make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while their owners are away.
