Bilingual Animal Lover

My hours are flexible, because I work from home. I have worked on Rover for a few years, and have worked with the Animal Welfare League of Arlington as a foster parent and volunteer for animals for the past two years. I also grew up with six dogs (10-25lbs) in my family home so I am accustomed to managing multiple personalities. I have worked with special needs dogs, who are deaf, paralyzed, or need additional training. I am communicative about your pet's experience while in my care, and I know we will have a good time together. I have experience giving dogs baths, flea/tick repellent and medication, grooming, medication, walks, and training. I have experience with puppies, older dogs, and larger groups of dogs. I am responsible, friendly and especially a lover of dogs in all sizes. I have no problem watching one dog or multiple dogs over night or for a couple days at a time. Our dog is experienced with having lots of different personalities coming through and gets along with cats and dogs alike.

She never told me that she would be traveling during our booking, so her husband was caring for the dogs. Zero contact with him and didnt answer texts once I finally got his #. He want home when we arrived at 5p and said he checked on them at lunch, but we walked in to Lucy tied up to the stairs with her own leash with maybe one foot of room to move and Winnie crated. She had scratched off the skin on her nose. Both dogs were dehydrated and even though I tried to modulate how much they drank, Lucy still threw up all the water shortly after (just water, nothing else). The bags of treats were untouched. I hope nobody else ever has to have such a terrible reunion after vacation.

Very grateful! Brianna agreed to watch him on short notice and was very flexible. Jameson had a great time! He must have got some good exercise because he came home and went straight to sleep! Thanks again!

Brianna didn’t turn Huncho away when I told her he was sick. She cared for Huncho made sure he took his medication and kept him active. Kept me posted on Huncho progress and sent pictures. I recommend her and will be using her boarding services again in November 2025. Juan from Germantown, MD Boarding 7/31 to 8/5/25

Overall, my boy survived his stay, but he came home extremely thirsty which was very sad to see. He was also visibly stressed. I will be seeking sitters with more calm environments moving forward.

Schedule

I am currently working remotely five days a week, so I have the availability to give your pet all the care they need throughout the week and over the weekend. I am in the office three days a week, but am blessed to have a family that makes caring for your dogs a seamless transition once we welcome them into our home.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a friendly dog who could keep your fur baby company, who has a lot of experience playing with the dogs we have boarded in the past. Our backyard has a fence that is about 6" tall. I have the ability to crate dogs if needs be and am very sensitive to each dog's particular routines and interests. I have a gravity water bowl to keep dogs hydrated this summer. I have the capacity to separate dogs who need to be fed in isolation, and can also leave food out for the dogs who like to graze during the day.

Pets

A typical day

I am flexible with the needs of individual dogs. I have dealt with special needs dogs; dogs that need medical attention; and dogs that just want to play. Lazy dogs are always welcome and will do just fine watching us complete regular daily activities from the couch.

I would like to know if your dogs have any conflicts with other dogs in the neighborhood during walks; if your dogs have any special interests in items or if they like to chew on things; whether they resource guard their food, need to be fed at certain times, or prefer to graze during the day; if they have any flea/tick or heartworm medication doses coming up.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
