Loving Dog Care for Your Pup!

Hi! We’re Brianna and Sam! We’ve both grown up loving dogs and have had dogs of our own that were a huge part of our lives. Brianna grew up with her Vizsla, Copper, and Sam had his dog, Bentley. Because of that, we both know how much dogs mean to their families and how important it is for them to feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. When your dog stays with us, they’ll be part of our home and get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. Since there are two of us, one of us is usually home, so your pup typically won’t be left alone for long periods of time. You may also meet either of us for drop-off or pick-up depending on our schedules. We’re happy to follow your dog’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, favorite toys, or whatever helps them feel at home. We want every dog we care for to feel like they’re getting a fun little vacation of their own while their family is away! 🐶❤️

Brianna is a great caretaker for pets! I have let her watch both of my dogs, a 4yr old dachshund and a 1 yr old basset hound, both with very different personalities and they loved Brianna. She is very responsible and followed the list I set out for her to watch my dogs. 10 out of 10 would recommend and let her babysit anytime.

Brianna has done a really great job taking care of Buddy, my black lab. She always tends to his hyper active needs, keeps him up to date on his training for bird season, and always makes sure he is happy and healthy.

Schedule

Sam and I both have flexible schedules that allow us to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. Since we live close to campus, I’m able to come home between classes to check on pets, take them outside, go for walks, and spend time with them. Between the two of us, we’re able to work our schedules around the pets in our care and make sure they’re getting consistent attention, exercise, and companionship.

Safety, trust & environment

Sam and I want every pet in our care to feel safe, comfortable, and at home. We’re flexible and always take each dog’s individual personality, routine, and comfort level into consideration. We understand that some dogs can have a harder time when their owners are away, so we’re happy to work with clients on whatever routine helps their pet feel most comfortable. When pets stay with us, we have a fully enclosed area in our yard where they can safely get outside, play, and enjoy some fresh air. We also make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and walks based on their energy level and needs. Whether we’re caring for a pet in our home or their own home, our goal is to keep their routine as familiar as possible while giving them lots of patience, attention, and care.

A typical day

A typical day with us includes plenty of playtime, attention, and time outside! I love taking bigger, more energetic dogs on walks or even runs when they’re up for it. We also have a fenced-in area in our backyard where dogs can safely play fetch, run around, and stretch their legs. For dogs who prefer something a little more relaxed, we’re always happy to spend time playing, giving them attention, or just hanging out with them. And, of course, there are plenty of free belly rubs for any pet who wants one!

Before caring for your pet, we like to learn as much as possible about their personality, routine, and individual needs. Some helpful things to know include: Is your dog fully house-trained? Does your pet experience separation anxiety or have difficulty being left alone? How does your dog do around other dogs, people, or other animals? Is your dog crate-trained, and do they normally use a crate? What is your dog’s normal daily routine for meals, walks, playtime, and bathroom breaks? Are there any medications, allergies, dietary restrictions, or special care instructions we should know about? What are your house rules? Are they allowed on furniture or the bed? Are there any areas they should stay out of? Are there any behaviors, fears, triggers, or quirks that would help us better understand your pet? Is there anything else you normally do at home that helps your dog feel comfortable and happy? The more we know ahead of time, the easier it is for us to keep your pet’s routine familiar and make them feel comfortable while you’re away.
