Pet care has always been a part of my daily routine in my personal life and professional. I start every morning off caring for my 4 cats. Growing up I had German Shepards, cats & birds at the same time. It is a natural routine to me so I’m able to balance and be flexible.

Safety, trust & environment
I have four cats and previously had 2 ferrets at the same time. I know how important it is to keep a clean home space that is organized and comfortable. I make sure the pets have multiple options for where to rest & they’re always allowed to sleep with me at night. I refill water every few hours & sooner if there’s even one kibble in the bowl. I also like planning out my days ahead of time if I’m sitting with a dog especially.

Information Brianna C. would like to know about your pet
I love dogs of all breeds and sizes. From tea cup Yorkies to akita breeds! Only thing I ask is to be informed of any health issues, medications, food preferences, any triggers & if their reactive.
A typical day
if the animal is able to be active I like going for multiple walks a day & enjoy bringing them to local trails or dog parks with owners approval. If we’re indoors in between walks or it’s raining, I like having options of toys for the pet & treat options with Kong balls. I also enjoy brushing their coats, cleaning ears & clipping nails if owner approves.

Animal trainer of 10 yrs & Vet Tech
Pet care experience
I’m passionate about bridging the connection between pets and their parents while helping animals overcome behavioral challenges. I have over 10 years of experience across dog training, veterinary medicine, and exotic animal care. I previously worked as a dog hiker for 4 years, training off-leash group hikes of up to 12 dogs in upstate New York. I then worked as a veterinary technician in ICU and emergency hospitals in NYC, followed by a role as a zookeeper/vet tech at Queens Zoo, working with animals such as macaws, lynx, and hogs. Most recently, I’ve worked as a veterinary technician in New Haven and a Bird of Prey handler in New Canaan. I specialize in positive reinforcement training, with a focus on obedience and anxiety support in both dogs and cats. I’m also CPR certified for dogs and cats and have extensive experience in exotic animal care, enrichment, and handling. I look forward to meeting you and your pet!

Reviews

Brianna did a great job keeping Otto and Lola happy while we were on holiday. She kept us informed and sent lots of sweet pictures.

Bri helped me out tremendously during recovery from surgery. She is a good communicator and kept me informed about any schedule changes. She was gentle and patient with my almost blind, almost deaf senior dog. And Bri is flexible, allowing me to add additional services at the last minute when I realized I had been overly optimistic about my recovery.

Brianna takes great care of Monty!

Brianna did a great job taking care of Tessa while I was gone. Happy and healthy with lots of walks and treats.
