Ever since a young age, my family has always owned a pet. When I was 8 years old, we got a black lab puppy. I remember helping feed him, taking him on walks, and enjoying much playtime with him as a child. Eventually, our family bought a kitten and there was the added responsibility of emptying the cat litter and feeding her. Once our dog passed, we got two more cats and now have three cats to this day. I have also had the pleasure of dog-sitting for my aunt when she goes on vacation. During this time, I would walk, feed, and stay with her dog, Jewel. Jewel had some issues with anxiety and peeing when given too much attention, therefore I gained useful knowledge on how to help with those behaviors. Throughout the years, I have also dog-sat and cat-sat for friends.
