I work at WSU so it's a short commute each day, allowing me to spend more time at home. My weekday evenings are pretty quiet. I sometimes go out on the weekends but would be quite happy staying home if there is pet-sitting to do.

About Brian R.
Safety, trust & environment
I have a large fenced yard. I have a large linoleum dining and kitchen area that can easily be blocked off where messes are easy to clean up. I'm totally fine sharing my bed and furniture with a pet. It's a quiet, kid-free house well suited for even the most nervous dogs.

Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Brian! I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family always had dogs and cats around the house, and it’s a tradition I’ve proudly continued into adulthood. Sadly, both of my beloved pugs passed away over the last few years. Right now, it's just me and my cat, Vader, so I would absolutely love to welcome a canine (or another feline) presence back into my home! I work at WSU and live a quiet, peaceful life here in Colfax. Because my home is a kid-free environment and I spend a lot of my time here, your pet will get plenty of focused attention, companionship, and love. I understand how hard it is to leave your pets, so I am committed to treating yours like family - providing a safe, comfortable, and fun home away from home. I’d love to chat and see if I’m the perfect fit for your pet!
Reviews
Although Brian has not personally watched my dogs simply because the opportunity has not come up, I would absolutely trust him with their care. I have a very small circle of people I would feel comfortable allowing to care for my dogs, and Brian is someone I would place in that circle without hesitation. I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the love, patience, and dedication he showed toward his two beloved dogs, both of whom he adopted and deeply cared for. I have also heard many stories about Brian’s volunteer work with animal shelters in both Texas and Washington, which speaks to his genuine compassion for animals. Brian is a kind, responsible, and loving person, and I believe any pet would be in caring and trustworthy hands with him.
BRIAN, literally out of everyone I have ever known or currently know, is the one I trust most with animals, because of his deep and authentic empathy and caring for them. He has taken on strays, kept aging and ailing pets, with, in my view, an unmistakable love coupled with a clear-eyed sense of responsibility and mindfulness for them.
