If I have a short appointment, I generally take the dog with me in the car, maybe into Home Depot. Late Afternoon might be a stop at the dog park. After Dinner, we take a Walk. Before Bedtime, we take a Walk. Dog also has access to an enclosed yard and I leave the door open if it's nice outside.

Information Brian H. would like to know about your pet

Barking dogs are going to be an issue because my space is surrounded by other units. A Note about Feeding: My belief is a dog should eat twice a day but I can adapt to whatever feeding schedule you have setup. Food is fuel and then it's a regular schedule for elimination and keeping their system regular. The food should be in a sealed container. If your dog does is a 'picky' eater, strong chance that the dog has allergies to some of the ingredients in the food. I am not affiliated but have found the Nutriscan test at Hemopet helpful for identifying allergies. Food switching is a process you would do over time, please do your own research. I recommend Extension Leashes. I get them at Harbor Freight for less than $10. I think a good investment is a screw top food holder. They are heavy plastic, the top spins and it seals the food and keeps it fresh.

A typical day

If your dog is good in the car and good at the park, I would love to take them to the Redondo Beach Dog Park. *I have bowls do you don't need to bring them. I you have a bed or a mat, bring it. Let's speak about a dog kennel before you bring that. For dropoffs, I prefer a quicker goodbye. Dog will be a bit stressed so i take them for a walk as soon as you leave. Bring Extra Food! I appreciate exact packaging but I'll return the unused, just bring extra in case you are delayed. *If you are bringing a prong collar, can you please bring extra prongs. I see a lot of collars that are too tight so I'd be happy to play with the sizing for you while you are away. it should be loose so the prongs are applying light pressure and should never be left on a dog unattended. Great tool.

Pet care experience

I'm a former Dog Trainer who worked in a Kennel in my younger days. Now, I'm a real estate Broker working out of a house in Lomita. I miss having a dog around and I'm good with all types of dogs. If you have a 'barker', I may not be the right fit. If they pee in the house, can you find someone else? I work at home and the neighborhood is a dog friendly area. I can have more than 1 dog at a time, if they are from the same family but I don't mix dogs that don't know each other, I normally only take one at a time. I have a fenced in yard that I access through the kitchen. First step might be a meet and greet, let's see how we get along.

Brian took great care of our dog George. He helped him with his anxious behavior and kept him active. He shared photos & videos of their adventures. We felt calm knowing that he was well cared for & we are grateful!

Milo had the best time staying with Brian. Brian worked very well with Milo's reactivity and gave me tips on how to work with Milo. They went on many walks, visited the dog park, and had lots of playtime. I appreciated how many photos and videos Brian sent while we were away. 10 out of 10 would recommend and will definitely want Milo to stay with Brian in the future.
