In 2008, our family adopted our first dog, Dakota, and by the second day, he and Brian were bonded forever. He was always by Brian's side as soon as he came home from school or work. That continued for 15 years, until Dakota developed liver failure. Brian took extra-special care of him, giving him daily fluids via IV and his medicine, plus specialized food. When Dakota passed in November of 2023, we were deeply saddened, and it was the hardest on Brian. Last year, we adopted a new puppy, Coop, and he has been a lively addition to our family, with Brian, once again, bonded with Coop. Brian has also been a dogsitter for numerous friends and neighbors, many of them on multiple occasions, sometimes for days at a time, usually at their residences. His caring nature and love of all animals is what has gotten him repeat dogsitting jobs.
