Safety, trust & environment

🐾About my home: Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities! If your fur-baby is a social butterfly, they’ll love visiting me. My home often welcomes friends and family, some bring their dogs for playdates, too! For less social pets, I will ensure a calm and comfortable environment tailored to their needs. While my new home doesn’t have a fenced yard, I’ve adjusted by providing supervised outdoor time with 15-foot leads in my spacious backyard. I also prioritize mealtime safety and feed pets in separate spaces to ensure a stress-free experience. If a crate is needed, I have one available so you don't have to transport yours!

Information Brette B. would like to know about your pet

🐾About your pet: The smallest detail goes a long way in safety and comfort. I’m experienced in handling pets with various needs and am happy to accommodate specific requests to keep them comfortable and happy. It’s important to me to be informed about your pets—even if you think it may not be relevant. For example, tell me if your pet: - Has any allergies - Is calm or high-energy - Is a chewer (separation or boredom) - Is sensitive to sounds (e.g., sirens or loud noises) - Prefers sleeping in certain places (bed, floor, blankets) - Likes to eat alone - Is resource-protective or has separation anxiety - Is an escape artist or prone to marking furniture - Is protective of territory or has other unique traits - Is restricted on treats (they are never scarce in my house!) ***If your dog has had any type of an aggressive situation, I want to know about it. I will NOT turn you away. Being honest with me helps me prepare for any situation in your home or mine. Transparency about your dog's past or present behaviors—no matter how rare or isolated—ensures a safer experience for everyone involved. I’m not judgmental when it comes to a dog having an "aggressive episode" because I understand that many factors can lead to such behaviors. I am a very understanding person when it comes to dog behavior, and I ask for the same understanding regarding my need to prioritize safety for myself and your pet. Remember, I am being trained to handle these situations effectively. I look forward to speaking with you!

A typical day

🐾During the stay: I strive to stick closely to your pet’s usual routine, creating a seamless experience for them while you’re away. Every day is tailored to your pet’s unique needs and preferences, ensuring they feel loved, safe, and cared for! A typical day might include: - A frozen puzzle game or enrichment activity for mental stimulation - Visits to local parks, Tractor Supply, or the coffee shop for a pup cup - Quality time cuddling on the couch for the ultimate couch potatoes - A trip to my fenced-in pool to cool off

Doors must remain closed, and meeting animals from other families is not permitted for safety reasons. Thank you for understanding!* Bonus for Your Peace of Mind: You’ll receive a Welcome Packet during the M&G for your safekeeping. It includes: - My contact information and emergency procedures. - A summary of policies and services for easy reference. - Tips for a stress-free stay and reminders for preparing your pet. 🐾Introductions Between Dogs: All dog introductions are supervised and take place (estimated) 12–24 hours after drop-off. This waiting period allows each dog to decompress, adjust to the new environment, and display their natural behavior before meeting others. If a dog shows signs of stress or discomfort, introductions may be delayed or adjusted for safety. 🐾About me: I was raised on a farm containing large and small animals so I was taught the importance of all living things, but the passion for them bloomed on its own. During my time as a veterinary technician, I gained valuable hands-on experience, including learning how to properly administer medications and mastering essential techniques. My experience at a professional boarding facility further reinforced my passion for providing personalized, attentive care through home-based pet services. I recently worked as a groomer's apprentice, but I’m currently studying to become a certified dog obedience trainer, which will expand my ability to support your furry family members. I’ve loved every moment of my past four years on Rover, from meeting incredible families to caring for pets of all types and personalities.
