Our family has been taking care of dogs for over 30 years. We started our facility in 1989 and since then, have cared for so many fury family members! We love animals and especially dogs! Dogs aren’t the only things you’ll see roaming around our neck of the woods. From goats to cats, ducks, to kids, life is always moving here at DR! We require all dogs to be up to date on shots. Pet care is our life! From sun up to sun down, we are outside with the dogs! Someone is always here, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day! We have a kennel specific for the dogs. They have their own space, dog house, rubber mat to stand on, and water/food bowls. Each kennel is 5x10 on concrete. The dogs get out multiple times a day to interact with other dogs in a controlled, fenced in environment.

Lilo and I both loved the remote, mountain atmosphere of Brett and Sara's farm and Retriever breeding and training center. She was at home from the moment her paws reached the ground! She also was very active during her stay, which continued once she was home. The exercise, although she does at home, was particularly good for her. She was a little miffed that I left her for 5 days, but that's just Lilo, thoroughly spoiled! I would definitely board Lilo with Brett and Sara again if travels cause us to be apart.
Sara was exceptionally accommodating of my timeline, communicated with me professionally and thoughtfully, and it was clear she cared for Crumpet on a personalized level. I am going to make up reasons to be back in this area just to enjoy the views and for my elderly Great Dane to be loved on in the same way again!
Sara was really good to work with, I felt very comfortable leaving our little 14yr old dog with her.
Sara is a good person, and we were happy to find her, she was very flexible with us, which we really appreciated. However, when we picked up our dogs, they were smelling very bad, and one of them started coughing a lot afterwards. Unfortunately, it seems like he may have gotten sick during his stay.
Brett and Sarah have an amazing and spacious place! Getting there was easy and the drop-off process was quick. They are truly caring people for animals AND their owners. We got into a situation and had to call a tow truck and were late picking up our furbaby, and they were very lenient by not charging us extra and also recommended a towing service. Will definitely use them again! Thank you Brett and Sara.
Thanks for taking good care of our girls. We have been traveling across country -Yellowstone or bust- & knowing the girls were in good hands let us relax & enjoy our once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

A typical day
We live right at the base of the Sutter Buttes. Walks around our 3 acre farm are always a joy! We also have access to hundreds of acres around the bypass where the dogs love to get out and stretch their legs even more! We offer training at our facility as well. Boarding dogs can access this for an extra $10 a day.
