Highlights
Pet care experience
Reliable care, happy animals
Caring for animals has been a regular part of my life for years. During college, I walked dogs several times a week, and I’ve spent years pet sitting for family friends with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I’ve also cared for my sister’s dog for several weeks at a time while she traveled internationally, so I’m comfortable with both daily walks and longer-term stays. While in graduate school at Duke, I also cat sat for several friends, giving me experience caring for cats with different personalities and routines. I’m confident with both large and small dogs and understand that every pet has unique needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, your cat prefers quiet companionship, or your pet simply needs someone dependable to stick to their routine, I take the time to earn their trust and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Outside of pet care, I’m completing hospital chaplaincy training while preparing for ordained ministry. That work has strengthened qualities that carry over naturally into caring for animals, such as patience, attentiveness, reliability, and remaining calm in new situations. I know how important it is to trust someone with a beloved pet, and I’ll care for yours with the same thoughtfulness and respect that I’d want for my own.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to maintain the routine they’re already comfortable with. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, and any special instructions so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible while you’re away. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality and adjust my care to their needs, whether that means an energetic walk, playtime, or simply providing calm companionship. I also believe communication is an important part of great pet care. I can send regular updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and have peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every home with respect, leaving it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it.

Schedule
I’m currently completing hospital chaplaincy training and working part-time at a local church, so I value being organized and dependable with my schedule. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy and intentionally make time for each week. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit, or overnight care, I prioritize keeping pets on their normal routine and making sure they receive plenty of attention and care.
