I currently work as a registered behavioral technician at a clinic Monday through Friday from 8-4:30. As a therapist who works with kids on the autism spectrum, I have found it very natural to give myself the opportunity to give help in other ways to our furry friends.

With my dogs, I like to stay very time aware and main a daily schedule. It is very hard to make a mistake or show any sign of neglect when you’re not only visibly there for the dogs, but you are also able to fulfill their wants and needs.

A typical day
I’m cool with any activity in general. I believe that just giving attention is bare bones (pun intended 😉) when it comes to interacting with animals. They are social creatures just like us! I enjoy adapting myself and my interactions to any dog because why should the dog adapt to me. For me that is the caregiver mentality!

For countless times that my parents have been on vacation, I have been in charge of watching their three dogs as well as their two cats. One of my favorite things about hanging out with my dogs is being affectionate when they need it the most, especially when the people they are used to being around the most are not there.

Brendan is amazing with dogs. He instantly connects with them. Whether it's playing or just sitting and cuddling, you can tell he genuinely loves every second of it. What really stands out though is how genuine he is as a person. I trust him completely, any animal would be lucky to spend time with him!
