I work from home 2x a week during overnight care and stay in the same room with pups the majority of the day and evening. During overnight stay, I like to provide regular updates and pictures. Just let me know what the right amount of communication per day. The day starts around 6 am and dogs are fed separately around 7 am. Feeding schedules, custom diets, medication can be worked out. I have the ability to ensure frequent restroom breaks throughout the day, 1-2 walks (next to a park for short walks for senior dogs) and willing to do at least one brisk neighborhood walk during the day. We have lots of size-appropriate dog toys (minus rawhide and bones) and always enjoy spending quality time that matches the pup’s energy and interaction level. Nighttime routine starts between 8-9 pm and doggies have a sleeping area outside my bedroom. I have different sizes beds, blankets, crates (used upon request) and other creature comforts to help settle in. I also wash dog beds in between visitors.

I currently offer West Seattle dog walks and overnight boarding. Typically, I like to meet dog parents in advance of an overnight stay to ensure it’s a good fit for both of us. Overnight dog guests are provided gradual introductions, fed separately and I check both gates to ensure they are secured before letting dogs out in the yard. If you prefer private/solo boarding and request exclusive care with no other boarders, please let me know. Arrangements can be discussed, and any fee adjustments could apply. Dog Walking Option (30 minutes) - Dog walks take place in your neighborhood and packed with lots of positive reinforcement and a few photo ops. I do my best to have your dog really enjoy this time, ensure that your pup is safe with no dog interactions and we stay at a walking pace. I provide frequent communication, including when I arrive, use the "Rover card" to capture our activities and close out with communication when the dog is back at home, your house is secured and I have concluded the walk. Your pup will also be dried off if there is wet weather conditions and offered water if it's warm outside.

Information Brenda W. would like to know about your pet

We invite senior dogs, friendly, happy nappers and low-bark pet guests. We prefer our pet guests to be part of the tranquility we have created in our home and for other pet guests. Sorry, I am unable to host excessive barkers or aggressive behavior. I also try to match dog sizes and energy levels if I have multiple dog guests. Please reach out to inquire more about your pet care needs. Additional review for compatibility and breed for larger dog requests. We do love pugs and golden retrievers. ❤️ Please note: I have no experience with bully breeds and wouldn't be a fit for providing care.

A typical day

For overnight dog guests: A typical day will include a structured feeding schedule. Depending on the personality and energy level of the dog will determine the distance and frequency of exercise. All pups get a walk on leash at least once a day, typically mid-morning and frequent visits in the yard. Since our home is fairly quiet and calm, moderate-low energy and low bark pet guests do well here. Every furry visitor is given ample attention, lots of positive compliments and scratches in their favorite spots. We also have a dog toy box that has a variety of balls and play toys. We avoid bones, rawhides and anything that could get lodged or give belly aches.

Pet care experience

Are you looking for a safe and loving environment for your four-legged family member? Our West Seattle home is the perfect place for snuggles, quiet naps, and attentive supervision, complete with a secure fenced yard. I am a lifelong animal lover and very attentive to pet behavior and needs with past experience volunteering with animal rescues, fostering dogs and have pet sit for friends and family. Rover has given me the opportunity to channel my love for animal companionship. Every pet deserves love and attention, and I treat every furry friend as if they were my own. Care is provided in a secure part of my home that I spend most of my time in.

We're so happy Mimi has a comfortable place to stay with people who enjoy her company. She's a shy dog, so it's great that she was able to settle in cuddle with new people. Many thanks!

So glad to have found Brenda! Our fur babies had a wonderful stay. She's a true dog lover and has set up a nice space for her guests to feel comfortable and be safe. My dogs enjoyed the love, pets, and attention and being able to spend time lounging in the backyard. Brenda texted regularly and sent the cutest photos. Thanks Brenda for great boarding experience!

Our pup is an anxious soul, so three walks and a comfortable space helped her have a good day. We're thankful for that. We'd recommend Brenda to anyone.
