We have 4 dogs of our own and 3 are crate trained- a Yorkie (6), Corgi-butt (not crate trained) (5), Shih Tzu mix Dachshund (13.5), and Dachshund longhaired (11). I'm open to offering suggestions for your furbabes vice versa. I understand the importance of seeking the best care for your fur family while you are away and not have to worry. We utilize Rover ourselves when on trips, and it's truly refreshing to know our furbabes are in good company and safe with excellent communication. That being said, is the exact reason I made the decision to join Rover. I want to be able to help others with the care of their beloved furbabes and know they're in good company and care when you can't be there. I will keep in communication with daily photos and text while caring for your furbabes. I also wash water or feeding bowls, bedding used (if necessary), and help keep your home tidy and clean throughout my housesitting or drop-in visits at no extra cost. Although, tips are greatly appreciated! 😊
Information Brenda K. would like to know about your pet
Please share any specific needs your pets may have, including dietary supplements, food preferences, medications, and treats. For instance, we have four dogs, all on a strict diet. They only consume specific food and treats, such as non-poultry 'Taste of the Wild' grain-free options and grain-free treats. One of our dogs is 13.5 years old, though you wouldn't guess it. She occasionally gets UTIs, requiring supplement (as needed) to prevent infection. We give them non-rawhide bones and only non-hydrogenated peanut butter treats and beef—no poultry products. I understand how each pet's diet varies, especially considering the different breeds.
A typical day
I like throwing balls or favorite toys for them to catch and play with. Daily continuous walks or runs around yard or property. I don't mind them being lap dogs or cats who like lots of attention, affection and love while we care for them. I also train with patience, calm, and quiet. If your pets like to be brushed or use brush specifically for love rubs and scratches, I can do that as well. I have special equipment that helps with dogs that shed. 😉 Our dogs love it, too! 🐾🐾💕

🐾 Well-versed care for furbabes 🐾
Pet care experience
My husband and I have been married over 25 years, and we have a wonderful daughter who's currently pursuing a degree in Veterinary Medicine. Growing up on small farms with gardens to present has fostered a deep passion within me. Throughout my lifetime, my family and I have raised a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, Highlander, Holstein, and Jersey cows, Nigerian dwarf goats, hens, and roosters. Additionally, I have assisted others in training, pest control, food options for allergies, homemade dog treats and foods, and nursing animals back to health. I strongly advocate for natural remedies to improve skin and overall health and well-being, includes safe pest control. I am well-versed in caring for dogs and cats of all ages, which includes training, special needs, administering medications or supplements, professional grooming, nail clipping, and overall general cleaning. Depending on specific needs, recommendations or upon request, my daughter (also on Rover) may also assist "as a team" at no extra charge to you. Together, my daughter and I have worked with neglected and abused foster dogs with very limited human contact. I am a trustworthy, reliable, and professional individual with extensive hands-on experience and knowledge. My faith in Jesus is an essential part of my life. 🌻 I'm willing adjust or modify my prices (lower my charge and not charge for extra half hour) for up to 4 drop-in visits OR pet walks to help save you money. 😉

Reviews

Highly recommend Brenda for all your rover needs!

Another stellar caretaking session with Brenda for my dog Lacy. I can’t imagine what I would do without her support. She is the best and Lacy loves her.

Brenda took great care of our two cats, one of which is more difficult than the typical. She was more than patient w her and made extra efforts to accommodate her. She gave detailed updates w each visit. She also brought our trash cans in and swept. We felt comfortable knowing that the cats were cared for while we were away.

Brenda is the perfect dog walker. My dog looks forward to her time with Brenda. My cat is even warmed up to her! If you are looking for a reliable dog walker I highly recommend Brenda!
