I live life to its fullest. I take advantage of opportunities, and seek out new experiences whenever possible. Branching out, trying new things, and staying active are essential for me. I had my black Lab Rickey for 14 years. I have had my pointer / lab mix, Rosie for 2. Both of us love hiking, running, and getting outdoors often. I love helping dogs know that they’re heard, loved, and understood, and facilitating the best possible relationship between dogs and their owners. As a sitter, I provide a safe, nurturing, fun place for dogs while their families are away. Rosie also loves having a buddy! I’m flexible, caring and energetic. I take dogs on extended, adventurous walks and cuddle with them as much as possible. During your dog’s stay, I’ll send lots of photos and updates, because if you’re anything like me, you’ll be missing them a lot - and I want to provide the best possible experience all around! I usually hike once or twice a week with my dog. I love to cook, bake, build things and do art. I live in the Arbor Lodge neighborhood, which is wonderfully convenient to downtown, highways, the airport, stores and restaurants. My home is dog-centric: Dogs sleep on the couch, chew bones under the table, run around the fenced-in yard and sometimes dig holes. Your pup will love getting outside a lot and receiving bountiful attention.

Brenda was great at handling my dog who is anxious in new environments, and boarding for the first time! She was able to take my dog on walks, and gave her space to get more comfortable each day. We also got updates and pictures each day. When we picked up our dog, she happily and gratefully went to Brenda to say goodbye. I would book with Brenda again!

Schedule
I am currently in between jobs. I am teaching summer school through July. Dogs are at home by themselves from 8-1 on my work days.

I have a fully fenced in yard. I have a large crate for my own dog. I can separate dogs into two different bedrooms if needed. I have a gate to the kitchen.

A typical day
We’ll go on two walks per day. We’ll also play a lot in my fenced-in backyard. At night, we’ll cuddle on the couch. Rosie, my dog, may be very playful, or just share the couch, toys, and her bed.

- I would like to meet your dog beforehand. I would also like my dog to meet the dog I will be sitting. My dog, Rosie, can be reactive to larger dogs on leash the first time she meets them. She is fine after meeting when we are able to be off leash. I'd also love to know: Preferences? Likes? Dislikes? Is your dog's rabies vaccination up to date? Are they on flea medication? Habits and schedule? Is your dog a big barker? Favorite activities, treats, and places? Any particular concerns? I am not able to provide transportation for doggy day care.
