Ever since I can remember I’ve always had dogs. My friends and family often rely on me to help out with their pets, when they’re traveling or if they need a quick drop in. From snakes, turtles and tarantulas I’ve helped with all kinds of pets. I also volunteer at an animal shelter and have had the pleasure of meeting various types of dogs and I love them all.

I left my two dogs with Brenda for in-home pet sitting for 10 days. I received daily updates with photos and information about how the dogs were doing. She gave them their medication and made adjustments when one of my dogs would not eat his meals. The house was in the same condition that I left it. I would definitely recommend Brenda for anyone needing pet care and would absolutely book with her again.
As novices on rover, we were quite nervous about trial-runs with new sitters. Our meet & greet with Brenda was very impressive with her extensive background in animal care, work with shelters and rescues; we quickly booked a trial-run with her for the following two days/nights. The trial-run went extremely well. Anytime we contacted her for anything, she course-corrected as requested. She was great with our fur babies, making sure they were safe, ate well and were medicated as instructed. Brenda is a great find! She is at the top of our contact list for pet care and house-sitting while we travel.
Brenda was wonderful and took great care of my puppy. He’s very young and needs extra attention, and she handled him with so much patience and care. You can tell she truly loves dogs. I came home to a very tired and very happy little guy. Highly recommend.
Charlie loves Brenda! He’s always so excited to see her and is in such a great mood when I get home. Thanks Brenda for taking such great care of my boy!

Schedule
I have open availability and a very flexible schedule. I’m fully open on weekends in the mornings and afternoons, with some evenings available too. I’m reliable, easy to work with, and able to accommodate last-minute bookings when needed.

Safety, trust & environment
I want to make sure I have the trust of the pet owners as well as the dogs. Every dog is different and I do what is necessary depending on the type of dog I’m walking. If the dog is shy I will make sure to take my time to earn their trust. If they are friendly, we’ll be ready to have a great adventure on our walks. Safety is another important thing for me so I make sure I’m always giving my attention to the dog 100% of the time. I'm also privately insured.

A typical day
It all depends on the dogs energy. If they are super energetic I usually do a walk in the morning and later in the evening anywhere from 30-45min each. During the day I will make sure they stayed occupied with puzzle toys or a chew stick or toy. A daily training session is a must as it builds bonds and trust.

Do they have any quirks I should know about? (Like disliking the rain, they hate loud noises, any particular fears, or things they react to negatively/positively?) Do you have anyone as a local emergency contact? If so, could I please have their contact information just in case? Is there any extra things you would like me to do, such as bringing in the mail or watering any plants?
