I am a Fear Free certified veterinary technician of 13 years who grew up in the show dog world (AKC) before getting into rescue as an adult. Throughout my long-lived animal career I have participated in puppy/kitten/basic obedience training, behavioral rehabilitation, dog sport training, senior care, care for animals with extreme medical needs, and owned/operated a group play doggie daycare. My jobs, hobbies, and passions are all centered around animals and I can't wait to bring that passion to you!

Breanna has been taking care of my two cats for a couple years now and my dog before he passed away. She's always been very kind and taken special care of them. She'll also water my plants while I'm away which I really appreciate!
Breanna was great with my 12 yold boy Hercules. We are very grateful to have found her and her assistance with administration of subcutaneous fluids.

Breanna is amazing. She was able to accept my booking in such short notice. Being a formet Vet Tech, I was very confident to leave my two goofball puppies with her post surgery (neutered). She updated me everyday and that gave me a sense of security. I will 100% book with her again. I can now travel again knowing my dogs will be in good caring hands. :)

Schedule
I am home full-time, and available for puppies and animals with heavy needs. I have a fairly set schedule for all of the pets in my care, and that level of routine provides comfort to even the most nervous of pups.

Safety, trust & environment
I am the only Fear Free pet carer in Bakersfield! I provide comforting classical music as well as calming pheromones in the sleeping spaces to make their stay as stress-free as possible. I have a fenced yard and never leave dogs together unsupervised. I do not provide an environment suitable for animals with a history of dog aggression. Small dogs I can be more flexible with, as their attitude usually comes from a place of fear and that is something I can work with for the little guys.
Pets
A typical day
I adjust playgroups and fun-time according to your pet's needs, energy level, size, and personality. I have 1 walk to the park included in all of my sittings/boarding (about 2 miles total) but can provide extra walks or hikes for an extra fee. I, of course, play with the animals throughout the day in between walks. I no longer do behavioral rehab, but can help train basic obedience as well as trick training. If discussed beforehand, I can also provide basic obedience and/or trick training to pets during their stay. Leash training comes automatically to me, so that is also included in any and all walks. I will not use flexi-leads, but can use my own leash if you typically use one. I will only use harnesses for small dogs or dogs with medical issues that require the use of a harness.
