I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. When I was little, I would sit and read books to our family dog and to my water turtle to keep them company (it helped that I gave them treats for being attentive during my narrations). Ever since, caring for animals has been one of the most meaningful parts of my life. For the past two years, I’ve worked as a dog foster, helping pups feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Each one gets VIP care…I’m talking cozy naps, endless belly rubs, and a crash course in feeling at home before heading off to their forever families. I’ve also dog-sat for my sister, friends, and my boyfriend’s parents, and I’ve cared for friends’ cats. And, yes, I’m that person who has brought home a stray dog, making sure she was safe and sound before taking her to a rescue center that helped her get adopted into a happy home. I approach pet sitting with the mindset that every furry friend deserves the royal treatment: love, respect, patience, and a trustworthy place to crash. It's serious business, meaning there’s no skimping on snuggles, treats, and playtime. I work from home as a writer and editor, so your pet will get the lion’s share of attention, supervision, midday strolls, and companionship throughout the day. I live in a spacious, clean, pet-friendly three-bedroom apartment with my boyfriend, a fellow animal enthusiast with more than a decade of experience caring for dogs and cats. We live in Ridgewood, which is a quiet neighborhood with a few nearby parks perfect for walks and outdoor time.
