I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and respected, whether they’re staying with me or I’m looking after them in their own home. I know every furry baby is different, so I never rush things or expect instant trust. I let pets settle in at their own pace and watch their body language to make sure they feel secure and happy. Before any stay, I ask owners to share important details about their pet’s habits, preferences, triggers, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any other care instructions. This helps me keep things consistent and relaxed for the pet. I also believe structure and gentleness go hand in hand: I’m loving and flexible, but I also keep healthy boundaries and routines so pets feel calm and supported. Likewise, I never assume I’m entitled to a pet’s space or affection, and I respect *their* boundaries, too. I believe in positive reinforcement, encouragement, and building trust over time instead of forcing interaction. Most importantly, I take time to get to know each pet as an individual and care for them based on their unique personality, energy, and needs.

Loving, Reliable Pet Care!
Pet care experience
I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. When I was little, I would sit and read books to our family dog and to my water turtle to keep them company (it helped that I gave them treats for being attentive during my narrations). Ever since, caring for animals has been one of the most meaningful parts of my life. For the past two years, I’ve worked as a dog foster, helping pups feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Each one gets VIP care…I’m talking cozy naps, endless belly rubs, and a crash course in feeling at home before heading off to their forever families. I’ve also dog-sat for my sister, friends, and my boyfriend’s parents, and I’ve cared for friends’ cats. And, yes, I’m that person who has brought home a stray dog, making sure she was safe and sound before taking her to a rescue center that helped her get adopted into a happy home. I approach pet sitting with the mindset that every furry friend deserves the royal treatment: love, respect, patience, and a trustworthy place to crash. It's serious business, meaning there’s no skimping on snuggles, treats, and playtime. I work from home as a writer and editor, so your pet will get the lion’s share of attention, supervision, midday strolls, and companionship throughout the day. I live in a spacious, clean, pet-friendly three-bedroom apartment with my boyfriend, a fellow animal enthusiast with more than a decade of experience caring for dogs and cats. We live in Ridgewood, which is a quiet neighborhood with a few nearby parks perfect for walks and outdoor time. Pet sitting honestly feels like one of the most fulfilling and enjoyable ways I could spend my time, so I’d love the opportunity to care for your pet as if they were family!

Brea is a very close, long-term, friend of mine. I was in meed of someone to watch my dog Cope after having an injury at another long term stay. I was going out of the country and there would be no other choice than having Brea stay at my home and watch after Cope. I would highly recommend Brea for your pet sitting needs, she loves spending time with them and will treat them as her own, so you can rest assured they will be well cared for while you are away.
Brea is the real-life Snow White. Her love for animals started at a young age, and she's always been good with caring for them: from dogs and cats to turtles and goldfish. She had an especially great relationship with my late dog, Nala. I knew whenever they were together, I never had to worry. Brea would get on the ground and play with Nala, give Nala all the pets her heart desired, take her on walks and also take some great Instagrammable photos. Brea loved Nala dearly and provided the kind of care that any paw-rent would want from a sitter.
