Hi! I’m Brant, a 26-year-old professional who works from home in South Austin. I’m a native Texan from Houston, a proud Texas A&M graduate, and have called Austin home for more than four years. Animals have always been a major part of my life. I grew up caring for and raising dogs, and because my family raises horses, I also have experience around horses, Longhorns, and other farm animals. Over the past year, I’ve fostered several dogs to support local shelters, giving me experience helping unfamiliar pets settle into a new environment and feel safe. I’m comfortable caring for animals of different breeds, sizes, ages, energy levels, and personalities. I frequently watch my girlfriend’s dog, Rafi, who quickly becomes my companion around the house and—when appropriate—on pet-friendly outings throughout Austin. I’m currently waiting until the timing is right to adopt a dog of my own, so Rover gives me an opportunity to enjoy the companionship of animals while helping owners feel confident that their pets are receiving attentive, dependable care. I’m highly responsive, happy to provide regular photo updates, and committed to following each owner’s instructions closely.

I’ve known Brant for 14 years. He helped care for my dog, Frankie from his puppy to senior years. Schedule
I work remotely from home and have a flexible daily schedule, which allows me to provide plenty of supervision, companionship, walks, playtime, and bathroom breaks throughout the day. Pets staying with me will rarely be left alone for extended periods, and I can adapt my routine around their normal feeding, exercise, medication, and sleep schedules.

I live alone in a spacious 2,200-square-foot home in a quiet residential area of South Austin with a large, fully fenced backyard. This provides plenty of room for pets to play, explore, relax, or find a quiet space when they need one. Pets are welcome on my furniture and treated like members of the household unless their owners prefer that I maintain different boundaries. I understand that every animal has a unique personality, so I take time to learn each pet’s routine, comfort level, triggers, and style of care. I carefully follow all feeding, walking, medication, crate, and household instructions and will never take a pet on an outing or introduce it to another animal without the owner’s permission.
A typical day
A typical day will be based on your pet’s normal routine. Since I work from home, they can spend the day near me rather than being left alone for long stretches. We’ll have regular backyard breaks, neighborhood walks, playtime, enrichment, and plenty of attention and relaxation. For active dogs, I’m happy to provide longer walks, games, and mentally stimulating activities. Older or lower-energy pets can enjoy shorter outings, a relaxed environment, and plenty of comfortable time around the house. With an owner’s permission, I also enjoy bringing dogs along to appropriate pet-friendly parks, trails, patios, and other Austin outings. I’ll provide regular photos and updates so you can see how your pet is doing.

- Please tell me about your pet’s normal routine, personality, feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications, allergies, and any medical or behavioral concerns. I’d also like to know how they respond to other animals, strangers, loud noises, car rides, being left alone, and unfamiliar environments. Please share any leash reactivity, separation anxiety, resource guarding, escape tendencies, destructive behavior, or house-training concerns—even if they seem minor. There is no judgment; having complete information simply helps me provide the safest and most comfortable experience possible. I welcome detailed instructions and am happy to accommodate pets of different breeds, sizes, ages, and care needs.
