I try to follow the regular routine of the animals I care for, to the best of my abilities at least. I realize its stressful for animals to have their owners away and a stranger caring for them so I try to make them as comfortable with me as possible.

I am familiar with many breeds and personality types of dogs and cats. Most animals don't take long to warm up to me and I haven't had an experince that I would consider bad while doing these pet visits.

With cats, I will play with them if they are the type that likes to play with string toys. Otherwise I will sit and read or play on my phone and provide affection if they want it. I enjoying taking dogs for walks and playing with them.

I have 3 family cats that were all foster fails while we were caring for them. They fit into the family too well to let them go to another family. I miss having a family dog and hope to adopt another someday but for now I get extra enjoyment from the dog visits I'm requested for through Rover. I had such a positive experience with Brandi, she was so great with my pup who can be a bit stubborn with new people.
