Your Dog’s Home Away From Home

I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I got my first dog when I was 5 which was my dream come true and had pets pretty much my whole life until I was 22. I don’t have any pets of my own right now, but I’m always happy to help watch my neighbors’ and friends’ pets whenever they need someone. I really enjoy being around animals and getting to know their different personalities. I’m caring, patient, and responsible, and I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, walks, and love while you’re away. I know how much pets mean to their families, and I love every dog as if they were my own. Honestly, even when I see a dog walking down the street, I get so excited and immediately want to say hi! I would love to have a dog of my own right now, but since that isn’t possible at the moment, I think pet sitting is a really great way for me to spend time with dogs, care for them, and give them all the love and attention I would give my own.

Brandi has been catsitting our fur baby, Mr. Buckles, while we vacation (as well as babysitting our small children for date nights) for years. She is a responsible, trustworthy, reliable resource with whom it is easy to coordinate and communicate. Cannot recommend her more highly. She is a natural caregiver with a gentle approach.

Brandi cares more about pets than any other person I ever met. When she sees a puppy or a grow dog her whole face lights up.she had two dogs when she was growing up, and when she came home from school before running to her parents she ran to the dogs. The most amazing thing is that Brandi never got bored with them. Some kids make a fuss over a new pet for the first few weeks; not Brandi. All through their lives, whenever she saw them, she'd grab them and play wioth them, and tell them how beautiful they were. She made sure to walk them and feed them, and it wasn't even up for debate; when they had to go to the vet, Brandi had to be there like a concerned "parent."

Schedule

I’ve graduated from college in 2023 and since then have returned to taking college courses again. Therefore, I am used to the college life while maintaining animal care, whether it was for my own dog or dog sitting. Having to take courses again and not having a full time job has left me with more than enough time at home throughout the week. My family has always loved animals, so when I was 5 and had asked for a dog- it was an easy yes. I’m used to having a dog/dogs around the house. When my 2 dogs unfortunately passed away, I began dog sitting for neighbors, friends, and other loved ones and through my experience, I have had ample time for them in my schedule.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a house with a yard where I can take dogs outside for some fresh air and playtime. Part of the yard isn’t fenced, so I would always keep dogs on a leash while they’re outside to make sure they’re safe. I also have a neighborhood that I really enjoy walking in, and I’d be happy to take dogs on multiple walks throughout the day depending on their energy level and needs. I’m happy to follow their usual routine as much as possible, whether that means regular walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or just relaxing and getting lots of attention. If your dog uses wee-wee pads, that’s completely fine too! I’m happy to accommodate whatever they’re used to at home.

A typical day

I love taking dogs on walks and letting them get some exercise and explore the neighborhood. We can also play in the yard or play inside, especially when the weather isn’t great. I’d love playing fetch or whatever other games they enjoy, along with plenty of belly rubs, stuffed animal toys, balls, and tricks and treats if they have any. Most importantly, I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and love while they’re with me! 🐶

I’d love to know anything that will help me take the best care of your dog! Please let me know about any dietary restrictions, medications, allergies, or special needs. It’s also helpful to know if your dog is shy, energetic, playful, or a little rough, and how they usually are around new people and other dogs. Anything about their personality, routine, or things they love (or don’t like!) is always helpful to know ahead of time.
