Pet care experience

We love dogs & have the experience!

Hello! I’m Brandi and he’s Tim, my husband. I attended vet assistant dual enrollment at local tech school in high school and then worked in vet and boarding for 15 years, including the humane society for medical and adoption. Tim has a lot of personal pet experience and a true love of all animals. In addition to my professional experience giving medication, our personal diabetic dog had insulin injections twice a day that we both have experience in. Tim is home every day and is available throughout the week. I’m a teacher, so I have the summer off with open availability. During school year (August-May) I am free in the afternoon, evening and on the weekends. Between the two of us, we can get done whatever you need! DUE TO COVID AND FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR FAMILY- we ask that all human guests stay outside. Our dogs are all up to date on their flea meds, please ensure your dog is as well. We follow owner instructions for feeding and diet routine. We are comfortable with medications, if needed. We will check for any accidents in the home and clean them up and give pet attention as we would like for our own pets, unless your pet would prefer we keep our distance. We have lots of yard space for your dog to run and get exercise. We can let your dog play with our dogs or keep them separate, whichever you are comfortable with. Our dogs are always fed in separate rooms and we would ensure your pet had the same respect.

Brandi and her family were so amazing and accommodating with my pup. They picked him up last minute for me and kept me updated with everything. Will definitely board with them again!

Schedule

Tim is home during the week and we have pretty flexible availability. We are a family with kids, so we do make plans to go out and do things. However, we are available to let all animals put on average between 2-4 hours daily.

Safety, trust & environment

We have a fenced yard that has been tried and tested with small and big dogs. We also have a room that we have our fur guests stay in for sleeping, eating, or while we are out. Dogs are able to hang out as one of the family while they are here. For drop ins, we follow owner instructions. We go on walks or the yard, whichever is best for your dog. We follow dog body language and ensure that the dog is comfortable. If your dog is timid with strangers, we appreciate any advice that helps make your dog comfortable- I.e. show harness/leash, treat, sit on couch, find special toy, etc. As dog owners, we understand that every dog is different and that owners are the experts.

Pets

A typical day

When visiting your dog, we would ensure they receive a lengthy walk that suits their energy level and making sure that they go to the bathroom. If a yard is provided, we can play with them with any of their favorite toys to get any pent up energy out from being indoors. We can also go to a local park to play on leash.

Please let us know of special diets, medical needs, and/or anything unique to your dog. Including likes and dislikes of where to pet them or how they respond to other animals, people, cars, bikes, etc. If there is something specific that helps calm your dog, that is helpful as well.
