Animal Lover Extraordinaire

I love animals!!!! I volunteered for both New Life Pet Adoption Center and Fetch Foster and Rescue. I decided to take on this new adventure with Rover, as fostering can be a very large commitment. I love all animals!! I grew up with dogs and guinea pigs. I currently have 2 dogs. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages. I am impartial to medium to larger dogs, but I still give love to those little guys/gals as well. I have experience with puppies and all the craziness that they bring with them. I know lots of different training and behavior tips and tricks but always love hearing what works for other pet owners as well. I treat animals like they are my own human children - they get lots of preferential treatment and attention in my house!

Brandi is great! She watched our two huskies while we were in town for a wedding. She obviously loves dogs and knows what she’s doing. We really, really appreciated how communicative and responsive she is. Will tell everyone in Wausau about her. Thank you!

We couldn’t have asked for a better first Rover experience with Brandi! Leaving your dog with someone new (and using Rover for the first time) is never easy, but she immediately put our minds at ease. She was warm, welcoming, responsive, and clearly experienced with dogs. She kept us updated throughout the stay with messages and photos, which made a huge difference and let us actually enjoy our time away knowing our girl was in good hands. It was obvious she was well cared for, comfortable, and treated like part of the family. She even had a watermelon party for the dogs over July 4th weekend, and let her snuggle on the couch. We came home feeling confident we made the right choice and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with Brandi again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring dog sitter!

We have never left our dog anywhere besides at a friend’s or family’s house. Was very nervous, but Brandi was the best and couldn’t ask for a better person to watch our girl.

Thank you for watching Zion! I’m sure he had a good time because he was tired when he got home. Lol

Schedule

I work from home full-time so I am always able to take care of my animals and their daily needs. I have an hour lunch break so that gives me extra time to spend with my animals as well during the day to take a walk or play, if needed. When I am not working, I spend lots of time cuddling, walking, and playing with my dog.

Safety, trust & environment

**As of May 2025, I now have a fully fenced in back yard! This is so wonderful to have now and I love having the room for dogs to run and play freely. I still monitor all play when outside. When bringing new animals into the home, I always make sure introductions are done properly and with consideration of the animals and their environment. I look to set all animals up for success in my home! My dog is crate trained and really looks to his kennel as his "safe place" and sleeps in there nearly every night. In the event of behavior issues with any dogs, my dog is crated. I always like to learn from owners what works best for their pets and be sure to follow those guidelines.

A typical day

Depending on the energy level of the dog, I am always willing to take dogs on walks, play catch or tug with a rope or toys. I do also have some brain stimulation puzzles that I can put kibble or treats in as well. If a pet owner allows the use of the dog park - I am more than willing to take a dog to the dog park as well.

It is always great to learn about other pets routines and I work to follow those closely. I am not partial to any sort of breeds and am fairly open to all pets. I am well versed on administering medication, if needed. I always look to get the most information on animals from their owners - are there triggers for your pet? How does your pet handle new people or other animals? What level of energy does your pet have? What queues do you use with your pets? I always try to maintain the utmost consistency when caring for other peoples pets....but also know, they are going to get LOTS of love from me!!
