Home Full-Time, Former Zookeeper
We’re home full-time! Our family dogs are LucyBelle & Ruby Rey! They love to lounge and play and go on adventures. Dog Boarding and Doggy Day Care: Our home is comfortable and relaxed. LucyBelle loves being with other dogs. Drop In and Dog Sitting: My wife Kelli and I have been dog sitting (and dropping in) since we were teenagers. For me, it started when our next door neighbor’s Miniature Schnauzer became too elderly to accompany them on vacations. For Kelli, it also started with her next door neighbor’s dog. When Kelli and I met, she was a Zookeeper at the Houston Zoo. She knows how to care for four-legged friends, including larger ones like Giraffes and Rhinos! Our knowledge and love of animals must show, every place we’ve lived neighbors have asked us to care for their dogs. It’s not only a job for us, we find joy in loving and caring for your furry friend. We understand your dog is more than a friend, he / she is family!

This was Charlie and Sammy’s 2nd stay with Brad, Kelli and their kids. Charlie isn’t used to being around kids so I was a little concerned how he would react around them. My concerns were quickly put to ease when I received pictures of Charlie sitting on one of the boys laps. I recommend Brad and Kelli and will be comfortable booking a third visit when needed.
Brad and Kelli are the best! They always take excellent care of our Belle and keep us informed of how she is doing when we board her. Gratefully, MCP😊

Schedule
We both work from home, so you can expect regular potty breaks for your dog. We take photos for you to feel connected with your pup and assured of their safety while away. Our hours for drop off, pickup and messaging is 9am - 9pm. We can arrange for earlier / later drop off and / or pickup as needed. And of course we’re available 24/7 in an emergency.

Safety, trust & environment
We only use a kennel when provided, your pup is free to roam inside and outside in our fenced backyard. We always meet & greet new client’s and their dogs first to see if we’re the best fit for your pup. Every dog is different and has personality. We provide a calm, safe and restful environment for older dogs. Younger energetic dogs, we’re sure to walk and play often.

A typical day
Our neighborhood is full of mature trees and friendly neighbors. Taking your dog for a walk around the neighborhood is a treat for us and them. We love to go on little excursions too, the dog park for socializing and nature trails for smelling all the smells is always good fun for your pup. Repeat clients (friends) regularly tell us their dog(s) light up when they mention they’re coming to stay with us. Or have a “sleep over with LucyBelle & Ruby Rey”.
