My normal schedule is to wake up around 7am to take the dogs outside. I work from home, so we will go outside every 1.5-2 hours at a time for about 15-45 mins depending on the weather.

A typical day
I go on walks/runs frequently with my own dog. My own dog has no interest in frisbee/ball play, but I do! All dogs are different, and I will cater to their comfort and interests. Your pet will get the best experience possible in my care.

I no longer accept pit bulls! I've taken care of and trained two of my previous dogs who became working dogs at a fire department. My current dog, Sissy, has been with me over 13 years. Sissy is a very calm husky who loves furry guests. I have volunteered at Second Chance Animal shelter whenever I had time since I was in college at OU. If you have a very active dog, I'm available to take 2-5 mile walks/run. I enjoy training dogs to walk/run on leashes and even off leash. Also, more than willing to help with potty training for your pet. I work from home so I can watch your pet consistently to take care of their needs. Lazy/older dogs are more than welcome too! I cook for my dog Sissy quite often and provide clean, nutritious, dog friendly food. - must have proof of VACCINATION (dont need to see it; please have it on request) - pets must be on anti-flea regimen - new clients will require a meet and greet - aggressive/destructive pets will not be tolerated I work from home in the airline industry and try to spend as much time outdoors as possible with my dog. Dog parks, hikes, parks I have a medium sized yard with a garden room with plenty of shade. Summer time dogs will be kept inside in their own room where I can keep an eye on them. My dog Sissy can be shy, but she loves playing with other dogs. I have kiddy pools for the summer time for the dogs to cool off and have fun. I have an XXL and XL crate to help with potty training dogs.

Bowie & his wife were super accommodating and impressively organized. The dogs had their own section of the house and each had their own crate. I was able to bring a few things from to help Rosie be comfortable. Their backyard is for the dogs and plenty of water bowls for hydration.
This was my first time using Rover and it was NOT at all what I expected. I don't know if I had misguided expectaions or if Bowie was not the best choice for us. Here is how it went for us: When we went to drop our dog off for 2 nights, we were met outside. There was no tour of the area where Roxy would be playing, eating, sleeping - no visual inspection at all. Which surprised me, but we had to hurry to get out of town and meet deadlines, so we left her. She was escorted by a woman (Bowie's wife, I presume) into the back yard. When we were away, we did receive 2-3 videos a day of Roxy, which was nice; however, every single video was of her running around in a dirt, not grassy, backyard with several other dogs. She is a social puppy, and I am sure enjoyed the playtime. But every video was just the dirt backyard and the other dogs. I would have liked to see a photo of "Here she is all snuggled into her crate at bedtime" or "here she is eating her breakfast", not just backyard time. I became concerned that Roxy may be sleeping outside, since that appeared to be where she always was, and so I asked Bowie. He said the dogs' crates were inside for sleeping. I became increasingly concerned that Roxy was just basically camping out in a backyard, so we ended up getting her a little early. Same thing happened as with drop off - she was escorted out of the backyard on her leash. She was filthy, the bedding we provided from home was filthy. We came straight home and bathed her and washed the bedding. If you use Bowie, or any sitter from this site, I strongly encourage you to request a tour of exactly where your dog will be eating, sleeping and playing. If you are a sitter with Rover, I encourage you to provide different types of photos, showing the pets doing various activities throughout the days stay - especially a bedtime photo. So, I was very disappointed in our experience overall. All I an say good about it, is that she was happy to come home! I was expecting and hoping that while we were away, Roxy would be loved on and pampered by another family. I do not at all feel like that is how this stay went.
