Safety, trust & environment

Our fully fenced in yard will keep your fur babies safe. I also like to stay home with your pet during their stay, if possible! (Please let me know the best ways to keep your pup safe and comfortable in case I do need to leave for things like a doctor’s appointment or a quick errand.) If I need to leave, I have cameras to watch your pup. Dogs are fed separately for safety reasons, and we have safety protocols for opening/answering the front door to make sure no one gets loose. For the comfort and safety of your pet and any others, it is important that your dog be able to get along with other dogs. We do not want to separate because that takes away from the home-like environment we provide and value. I also provide daily updates with photos to ease your mind. *Meet and greets are available depending on my availability. These meets are limited to 20 minutes as I have dogs that I am caring for.* Bath and blow dry add on available for $30

Information Bonnie G. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know about your dog’s likes and dislikes, their feeding and bathroom schedule, any medications or allergies, sleep routine, their temperament with new dogs and humans (do they have separation anxiety, do they have any food or toy aggression), and anything else that will help me make their stay more comfortable! Please be current on all vaccinations! It’s also important to upfront about their experiences with other dogs, and their house training. If your dog marks in the house, a belly band will be placed on them to protect furniture and prevent further marking. Writing down their feeding schedule and any medication schedules is helpful and appreciated.

A typical day

A typical day will include lots of play time in the yard, plenty of social interaction with my pups, and lots of love and cuddles from myself and my whole family. At bedtime, they sleep in our bedrooms, and even our beds, if they like. If your pup sleeps in a crate at home, we also have crates that they can sleep in to keep their normal routine. We treat them like they’re one of our own and do our best to help them settle in and ease any anxieties. Things to note: -no pick ups after 9:00 pm. I get to bed early because I have to wake up early to care for the dogs that I’m watching. It is also a disturbance to the dogs’ nighttime routine to have people picking up late. Anything after 9:00 pm will need to arrange for pick up the next day. -please do not bring toys. Personal toys can cause issues with resource guarding.

Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Bonnie! I grew up in a household that always had pets. We had everything from cats and dogs, to birds, goats, sheep, horses, and chickens! I believe a house is not a home unless there are pets in it. Currently, my family has two dogs, a senior terrier mix and a young St. Berdoodle. They are both sweet, and get along with all dogs. I do this full time, so it is my priority to be with your pup and to make their stay comfortable. I have a lot of experience with dogs that have separation anxiety, as well as seniors and those requiring medications. IMPORTANT: For safety of my small doggy clients and space reasons, I only care for small/medium sized dogs (with a bigger emphasis on overall size than weight). This includes puppies that are expected to grow into large dogs. If you have multiple dogs, all must meet this requirement—unfortunately, I’m unable to accommodate households with any large dogs.
