Availability
I am retired so my schedule is pretty flexible, but I will usually need notice on the prior day. I am not afraid of the cooler, early winter morning temperatures, which bigger dogs or those with thicker coats may prefer. I also like the warmer summer late afternoons, but we will likely need nearby shady grass or dirt as the asphalt or concrete sidewalks will burn your dog's paws.

Information Bob R. would like to know about your pet
I am happy to bring your dogs' favorite snacks if you'll allow it. Just tell me what they are. Please tell me if your dog has any special needs. Some dogs should not be running or doing anything faster than a normal walk. Let me know if this is the case and I will be sure not to overwork your dog. I understand that I must always pick up your dogs' poop with the plastic bags. If there are any common areas or parks nearby, I prefer to use those, if possible, always avoiding your neighbor's lawn unless you tell me otherwise.
A typical day
Fun activities will depend on what the dog owner recommends. Hopefully something like walking, some running on grass and through a park and some tennis ball chasing, depending on what the owner is OK with, ending with some cold water and a treat.

I grew up with dogs and cared for them until I moved away to college. I have cared for neighbors dogs when they went on vacation.

Bob was kind and attentive with my Alaskan Malamutes. Spent time getting to know them and learning what they needed before start walking. Both dogs came back happy.
Bob made it so easy to work with him when I requested on short notice. He clearly loves cats and dogs. My two Alaskan Malamutes were well cared for! He is detail-oriented, kind, and open to following the instructions provided for pet sitter care.
We have known Bob and Connie since they moved next door to us in Natoma Station in 2002. They watched our dogs for us and walked them every day when we went on vacation a few times. Bob really likes dogs and I am sure he will be a great Dog Walker for Rover. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a caring dog walker.
