Safety is always my top priority when caring for pets in a client’s home or during walks. I always make sure to follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding routines, leash requirements, and any special care needs. I double-check doors, gates, and secure all entry points before and after visits to ensure the pet is safe at all times. During walks, I keep dogs on a secure leash and stay alert to surroundings to avoid any potential risks, such as other aggressive dogs or unsafe areas. I prefer walking in safe, familiar neighborhoods and avoid high-traffic or dangerous situations. I also monitor the pet’s behavior closely to make sure they are comfortable, calm, and not showing signs of stress. If anything unusual happens, I communicate immediately with the owner so they are always informed.
