Because I have open availability, I’m able to plan my schedule around each pet’s needs, including feeding times, walks, play, medications, and companionship. I’m home for most of the day, which allows me to give pets consistent attention rather than rushing visits in between other commitments. I prioritize maintaining routines similar to what pets are used to and can be flexible with timing if needed. This also allows me to provide regular updates, photos, and check-ins so owners feel informed and at ease while they’re away.

A typical day
I prioritize following the activities and routines that pet owners request, since consistency is important for pets. That said, I enjoy engaging pets in ways that match their personality and energy level. This can include walks, playtime with favorite toys, enrichment games, gentle training reinforcement, or quiet companionship for pets who prefer a calmer pace. Whether a pet loves active play or simply relaxing together, I adjust activities to what helps them feel comfortable, happy, and at ease while their owner is away. The activities all depend on the animal and its personality. I can adjust from low to high energy cats and dogs. I can also recognize when certain animals need space to adapt to new people in the home and when to approach with play.

Outside of pet and house sitting, I’m an artist with a master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling. I’m an alumnus of the Meow Wolf immersive art exhibit in Santa Fe, NM, and a former participant in the AmeriCorps Public Allies program. For the past four years, I’ve worked professionally as a Life Enrichment Specialist in skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, supporting individuals with patience, empathy, and attentive care. I recently moved back to Milwaukee, WI after living in Portland, OR, and I’m currently open to accepting bookings as I settle back into the city.
