Hi there! We’re a friendly and reliable couple—Blake (working in finance) and Poppie (working in marketing)—and we’re both lucky enough to work from home full time. We’re lifelong animal lovers with over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and other pets. We’ve both grown up with family dogs and regularly care for the pets of friends and family. It’s something we genuinely enjoy—it brings us so much joy to have four-legged visitors in our home. While we don’t currently have a dog of our own (we’re planning to take that step when we move to a larger home soon), we treat every dog who stays with us like part of our family—with plenty of affection, playtime, love, and lots of tickles!

Blake and Poppie are amazing. A really kind and thoughtful couple. They kept us updated on how Bubbles was. I felt completely at ease from the moment of the initial enquiry process, to the care they gave whilst looking after Bubbles. Would definitely recommend and will be booking again.
Blake and Poppie have looked after our Norfolk Terrier several times, for both short and long stays. They are a very caring couple and nothing is ever too much trouble. Our dog requires medication and this has always been administered accurately and in a manner our dog is used too. They live in a clean, safe and calm environment and as my dog can be anxious, especially around loud noise, they are always attuned to the environment around them to ensure my dog is safe and calm. They ensure our dog gets her required exercise as well as plenty of play and cuddles. I have not hesitation in recommending Blake and Poppie as carers on Rover.com.
Blake has looked after Walnut regularly and walnut loves going to his flat so much! Blake takes walnut on lots of walks and plays with his toys with him, I would 100% recommend Blake and Poppie as dog sitters they are amazing and walnut loves them!
Blake is the most caring dog sitter, alongside his fiancée Poppy. My dog Axl can get a little unsettled when I’m away, but they both took the time to listen to all my concerns (from a bit of a crazy dog mum!) and completely put my mind at ease. You can just tell how much they love dogs, and that genuine care really shows in how happy and settled Axl was with them. They sent regular updates and lovely photos, which meant so much. It’s always hard going away and leaving your pet behind, but I feel totally relaxed knowing Axl’s with Blake and Poppy. I’ll definitely be using their services for every trip in future. Blake is a fantastic dog sitter! He looked after our King Charles Caviller, Betsy, for the weekend, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Betsy was taken on walks and was clearly kept happy and safe the entire time - we even had some photos sent to show how content she was! No doubt that we will absolutely be rebooking with him next time.

Schedule
Because we both work from home with flexible hours, your dog will have constant companionship throughout the day. We’re always around for cuddles, supervision, and play, so your pet will never be left alone for long periods. We take dogs out every couple of hours for toilet breaks, and they’ll enjoy longer walks during the day for exercise, stimulation, and fresh air—whatever suits their energy levels and personality. Whether your dog is active or prefers a more relaxed pace, we’ll adapt our day to make sure they feel happy and content.

We live in a cosy, dog-friendly flat in a safe neighbourhood, surrounded by great walking routes and green spaces. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always our top priority. We’ll make sure your dog feels right at home—whether that means curling up by our desks, playing with their favourite toy, or stretching their legs on a scenic walk. We’re also happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pup is in loving, capable hands. We can’t wait to welcome your furry friend into our home! 🐶
