Med Student and Dog Lover

Hi! I’m a fourth-year medical student at U of L. I love dogs and have had pets my whole life. Walking dogs is a great way for me to stay fit and get a much-needed puppy fix! I have been walking dogs for about two years and sitting since high school. I have lots of experience with both cats and dogs. I currently have a black cat named Salem, but spend time with many of my friends' and family's dogs. My availability is very flexible since I've completed the majority of my coursework. Spending time with animals is a great de-stresser from medical school and I love the happiness boost that comes from dogs’ unconditional love. I am fully CPR and First Aid certified for humans, but many of the skills transfer to pets! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

It's very important to me that pets feel comfortable with me in their home environment. I believe this trust is built through consistently good treatment and fun experiences such as walks. I have come home with wet/dirty dogs more than once and feel confident cleaning them up if that is your preference. I have experience staying in client's homes with their pets both crated at night and not crated. I am confident that I can keep your pet safe and comforted throughout the night while you are away.

We needed a sitter a little last-minute for a trip, and I was so relieved Rover connected us with Blair. She was reliable, communicative, and I felt confident our dog and cat were in trustworthy hands. She even successfully convinced our dog to eat, and he usually goes on hunger strike when we're out of town! Thanks, Blair!!

Blair has always loving and caring as a pet parent to her cat and as one of my dog's favorite people. My dog always gets so excited to see Blair and she will care for him in any instant that I ask her to do so. I highly recommend her to be a pet caregiver, she will be excellent for this position.

I would like to know how your dog responds to other animals ahead of walks or stays, just in case we run into a neighborhood cat or another dog walker. Additionally, if there is something (command, treat, etc.) that your pet consistently responds to.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
