Hi, I’m a lifelong animal lover originally from Sweden. I adopted my first rescue dog in 1989 and have been fostering, rescuing, and caring for dogs and cats ever since. After moving to Citrus Heights 8 years ago, I decided to turn my passion into a profession. My home is filled with love, patience, and a deep understanding of animals—because to me, they’re family. As my mama always said, “If someone isn’t kind to animals, they’re not a kind person.”

About my friend Birgitta whom I have known for over 20 years. I have never seen anyone who have shown such love for animals. She is the person who introduced me to rescue, before I was never that interested in having my own dog. Now because of her I have 3 small dogs that is all my babies and my loves. She is the the true dog whisperer and will do anything to help an animal. Last year when I lost my job and then my home she didn't hesitate to invite me and my dogs to come and stay with her until I got back on my feet again. Without her help I would have to give up my babies. At neighborhood BBQ's she always invited her guest's to bring there dogs as well. You Will for sure know tjat your dog have the best care and will be safe. Anyone who will use her as a dog sitter will not regret it, the dogs might not want to go home after there day LOL
Birgitta has been watching my pups for years and wouldn’t trust them with anybody else. She’s a very kind loving person and very passionate about animals. My dogs love her and I get the satisfaction of knowing that they’re safe and well cared for.

Schedule
I am retired and I am pretty much a homebody because I have my own rescue dogs. I have a fully fenced backyard with a pool and a grass area for them to play. If they want walks we have a really nice area in the neighborhood for dog walks.

The dogs will have full roam of the house and supervised outdoor playtime. They will of course get lots of love and cuddles and will be allowed on the furniture.

A typical day
If it’s a retriever, I’m pretty sure they’ll want to jump right into my pool and I have balls and toys that we can play with in the backyard.
