I have lived and worked with dogs from the age of 10 until our last dog, a German Shephard of 12 years passed away in 2013. Since that time we have hosted select dogs from friends and relatives.

I feel beyond grateful to have found Bill and Gerie to care for my dog. As a first-time Rover user, and someone who strongly prefers to travel with her dog I was anxious about leaving him with a sitter; But from the initial meet and greet through to picking him up from his week long stay they put my mind at ease. My dog was incredibly well cared for and they went above and beyond to help him settle in and feel comfortable in their home while I was away. His stay ended up being a dream vacation for him as they thoughtfully incorporated his favourite things and likes into his time with them. Communication was excellent throughout. I never had to worry about how he was doing in their care. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would not hesitate to recommend Bill and Gerie to anyone looking for wonderful caring pet sitters who will ensure your dog is safe and settled while away. In summary they are an incredible gift to pet owners. I can’t thank them enough for accepting my booking and the kindness and care they showed my pup and I.

It was such a treat to find someone we could leave our pup with. It was the first time we've left her with someone and she's 5.5 years old! I felt very comfortable leaving her after reading the reviews and also because Bill and Gerie came for a walk with us and saw how I handled her fear reactivity. We had the best staycation while we did a trial weekend. We did get updates which helped with our worries. Our dog was happy to see us but would have been very happy to stay as well. 🙂
Simply the best! 100% recommend. We have made many repeat bookings. We always feel safe leaving our dogs with them leading to better holidays for us.

Schedule
We a both retired. We go for long walks regularly, work in our garden and we volunteer in our community. We have great flexibility in our time.

We welcome selected dogs into our home as house guests and treat them as special guests during their stay. Exercise and attention can match their specific needs.
A typical day
Morning walk in nearby regional park or trail. Amount of exercise as appropriate for the guest. Free time in house or in the enclosed garden area. Evening exercise as appropriate.

- Important for us to know if the guest has any special needs, medications, foods or treats. The level of exercise that is normal and the guests social skills. Also any fears and level of training they have.
