I treat animals as family members. So to give your pet all the attention he/she needs, limit the number I care for. I have had experience with larger breeds like German Shepherds, Collie, Golden Retriever, Rhodesian Razorback. Also had a small 9lb peek-a-pooh in my care for 18 yrs. I now have two pets in my home , a 4 lb Chiweeni (Dachshund and Chihuahua) named JoJo. She is a 7 yr old female, came into my life about 4 years ago, just a couple months after my 17 yr old terrier passed. Jojo was a stray on the street so she is my first rescue dog. Also in my home is a beautiful Siamese/Ragdoll male cat, 5 years old named Apollo. In the last couple years I have volunteered in a shelter in Oak Park, walking dogs and fostering primarily tiny kittens that need socializing, sometimes around the clock medication, or sometimes just need a break from the shelter environment. I have a large home so can provide a quiet space if needed. There is an enclosed back yard for a little ball throwing and easy access if frequent potty breaks are needed. I will provide exercise on our two daily walks, praise, and all the loving care your pet deserves. I am available for overnight away stays as long we can agree on the arrangements for my little JoJo.
