Huge fenced in yard. Home full time. Crate free. 500+ five star reviews. We are at home during the day and we dedicate all of our time to caring for your kids. We have a large fenced yard of nearly an acre that is perfect for a dog vacation. Our resident miniature poodles have a wonderful life meeting and playing with new visitors daily. Xolani, our older poodle is our Property and Guest Services Manager. All guests are approved by him before booking. If we are show as fully booked on Rover, you might still want to check with us about availability. It could be a simple calendar drop off/pick up scheduling adjustment. We will not accept any aggressive dogs, and dogs with other issues that may affect other guest dogs will be thoroughly vetted. All guests are required to complete a comprehensive questionnaire in detail. We require a meet and greet at our home, before accepting bookings. If you have larger size dogs please check with us for availability. We try to limit our intake to five dogs in total. We are ideally situated, three miles from Old Town Alexandria, five miles from Mt. Vernon and 10 miles from Washington DC. We adore dogs and feel special that we are able to look after and love them while in our care. The pups have the run of the house, we are merely tenants. We will inform guests at the time of booking which other dogs we will be visiting, so that they feel comfortable with our guest list. During warmer weather they are free to roam inside and out. They love our routine and space. They sleep in human beds with us, if allowed. We never crate dogs and will only do so if requested by the owners. Rates and Times: Pick up and drop off is 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Major holidays and the three days immediately before and after the holiday will be billed at a higher rate per day. Puppies under two years of age and elderly dogs might have higher rates and will be taken under consideration. Please include your drop off and pick up times in your booking request and check with us for availability even if our calendar is marked full. We would love to meet you! Bev is our go to Rover when traveling. Bev watched our pup, Mimi, for nearly 3 weeks while we traveled out of the country this spring and kept us updated throughout the trip. Bev always gives us a piece of mind that our pup is in loving hands while we travel!

We were able to relax and enjoy our weekend getaway knowing that our sweet dog 🐶 was being well taken care of by Beverly and Chip. Beverly is very knowledgeable about dogs, and they’ve made their home inviting to their fur guests. In addition, their backyard is huge, which provides an excellent playground for all the guests to run and play. We would use Beverly and Chip again, and recommend them to friends.

Schedule
Dog boarding is our only business. We have 25 years of experience. Home 24/7, so it is full time. Visitors LOVE our Doggy Motel❤️ They sleep on beds and relax on the sofa. No crates.

A typical day
Our visitors have a huge fenced in yard to romp around in. Chasing squirrels and each other is a favorite pastime. We exercise them with balls and frisbees, weather permitting, several times a day. Breakfast is served between 7 - 8, dinner between 4 - 5, and last call is around 11pm.

- We will only take puppies/young dogs less than 12 months under consideration. We have a questionnaire that we ask all clients to complete and return when they drop off their dogs. It includes general questions about feeding schedule, medication, anxiety if any, unusual traits and many more basic facts that will help us dedicate our time to ensuring a happy and healthy stay for your dog.
