Throughout the day, I spend time engaging with the pets—whether that’s playtime, companionship, or just being present so they don’t feel alone. I also keep an eye on their behavior and health, making sure everything is normal. In the evening, I repeat feeding and bathroom routines, wind things down with calmer activities, and make sure they’re settled in for the night. I always aim to follow the owner’s instructions closely to keep the pets’ routine as consistent as possible. For fun activities, I tailor everything to the pet’s personality and energy level. For dogs, that might include walks, games of fetch, tug-of-war, or even basic training exercises to keep their minds active. For cats, I focus on interactive play like feather toys, laser pointers, or puzzle toys to stimulate their natural instincts. I also make time for cuddles, brushing, and calm bonding time for pets that enjoy affection. If appropriate, I like to introduce enrichment activities like treat puzzles or exploring new scents on walks. My goal is to keep pets happy, engaged, and stress-free while their owner is away.
