I’ve been a dog mom for 14 years 🐶 (to my boy Michael Thomasz who is now in doggie heaven 🙏🏼). After his very difficult passing on the family, I volunteered at different animal shelters and rescues bringing awareness to dog adoption and quality care. I decided to create a legacy in Mikey’s name so our love for him may keep on growing in the care for other dogs. I love and care for all dogs deeply as if they were my very own! They are part of the family and they all have a personality of their own! I have experience and expertise caring for special needs and gentle love and patience to give to senior dogs. I focus on a cage-free environment and personalized attention, unlike other dog caretakers. Dogs may not talk but they DO communicate 😃 I am attentive to details to ensure I am providing a safe space full of love and everything they need. I am First Aid and CPR Certified. I am open to get directions on how your loved one behaves, likes, dislikes and anything else I can do to make their stay pleasant and memorable. I provide updates on the actions taken such as feeding, walking and daily activities as well as accommodate pictures and video calls to ensure you have peace of mind. Betty is exceptional with dogs! I’ve know her about 6 years now and have always seen her have great interactions with pets and animals. Betty has taken care of my dog, Taco, whenever I am on vacation, away from home, or simply on some days where I want Taco to have someone to play and relax with. Taco can be a bit anxious but Betty’s patience and a lovely attitude helps him refocus his energy and have a great time every time they are together. She just has a natural knack for caring and taking care of our furry friends.
Betty Velarde is an avid animal lover, she has had a pet since a young child. She lovingly cared for her last dog for over 14 years until its passing. She was very passionate about her dog and always referred to it as her child. When it comes to animals she is awesome.

Safety, trust & environment
I am home based for daycare and hotel services. I have a designated exclusive area for your pup and it is cleaned every day to ensure your furry baby is in a comfortable and clean space. I wash and sanitize all the covers, blankets, toys and any other supplies that are used with our dogs. Each dog gets their own clean supplies at the beginning of their stay for daycare and hotel stays. • If I am visiting your home during drop-in visits, I’ll be sure to clean up any doggie messes before I leave. • For walks, I am fully equipped with bags and additional leashes. • I also heavily rely on pet hair rollers to ensure we are hairball free (as much as possible anyway!) • For the safety of our dogs, I ensure all designated doggie areas are free of clutter or other items that may fall on them or cause them any harm.

A typical day
A calm dog would perhaps like to hang out on the couch and be petted while a playful personality may want to play with various toys and exercise. I have a pet friendly neighborhood that they can explore to have a day filled with activity or relaxation. Every dog has a personality of their own and I can cater to many different types of moods to make your dog feel the best when they’re being cared for by me. I do an initial meet & greet with our clients and dog parents. During this visit I’ll assess the dog’s personality and behavior so I can learn more about them for their upcoming encounter. I base myself off key questions that will help me provide you and your doggies the absolute best, personalized service. All dog parents must provide proof of up to date vaccinations by the time of the service.
