The obvious reason, I LOVE DOGS and being around ALL animals . every dog has a unique personality which makes all of them special and all dogs have something different to offer pet lovers. I also love to be outdoors playing and walking them. I walk a lot any way, might as well have a furry companion. I can pretty much set my own schedule (within reason). I also don't have any obligations, other than my husband. I feel like this would feel a void in my life and help give to purpose. I like to use hand commands but verbal is fine also I have been a pet owner for quite sometimes, no current pets, some very high energy, some old and arthritic and on medication I perfer smaller dogs if they come to my house. The house is mostly empty, it’s just me and my husband. I have also sat for cats, turtles, lizards, goats horses and all types of pasture animals. Big or small, I do it all.

My family and I were out of town for my daughter’s competition and we had to bring our 7 month old puppy, Boomer, a mini Golden Doodle. He doesn’t travel much so he was Not okay with being in the hotel alone for any length of time. We didn’t know what to do and decided to download the Rover app and reached out to Betty who responded so quickly and agreed to watch my baby last minute. She rearranged her schedule to help us out. Boomer is usually nervous and scared of strangers but he warmed up to Betty pretty quickly which gave me so much peace of mind. She also keep me in the loop of all they did and how my boy was doing which was so reassuring. I’d book with Betty over and over again if I could. She is indeed the ideal caretaker for your fur babies.
Betty stayed with our 3 dogs over the long weekend and did a wonderful job. She was very attentive to my instructions for the dogs care and the pups were happy and relaxed when we got home. We will definitely ask Betty to stay with our pups again!
Betty was the best for our Evie girl at such a short notice. We will be using her again and highly recommend her!
Betty was great with my dog. He was happy on arrival and happy when we picked him up.
Betty was punctual and relaxed around our big dogs. It was nice to have her let them out and check their water when we were gone for an extended day trip.
Most happy with Betty's care during the 5 days she cared for my cat. I was a little nervous about leaving Kitty with a sitter and she could no longer go to a boarding facility. Betty was the perfect solution. I would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs. I hope to user her again when the need arises. Note - all of the subsequent questions refer to dog sitting. Betty actually took care of a cat for me.

Schedule
I’m retired airline employee, so, I’m pretty flexible with my time and schedule. We currently don’t have any pets because we enjoy our travel time. If we’re not traveling you can always catch me on someone’s ranch helping out with their critters.

Safety, trust & environment
I really prefer watching the animals at the clients home because that’s where they feel most comfortable. I don’t mind bringing the pets to my home, if they are on the smaller side. Of course, if it’s something on the bigger side, ie, like livestock, I would be at the client’s home.
A typical day
I do like to walk and be outdoors. I like the comfort that a dog can provide to a human. I like to engage play with the dogs, fetch, tricks, tug of war or just petting them. My neighborhood is pet friendly with lots of trails and a dog parks very close.
