Hi, I’m Betty, a native New Yorker and lifelong animal lover. I’m clean, friendly, and dependable, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets—whether that’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. As a homeowner and former pet owner who had relied on house sitters for my own pets, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your home and animals. I’ll make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away, and I’m always happy to send regular updates and photos for peace of mind. I’ll treat your pets with patience and kindness and respect your home as if it were my own.
Information Betty C. would like to know about your pet
It’s helpful for me to know about your pet’s temperament and routine ahead of time so I can provide the best care possible. For example, how does your dog or cat typically react to a new person coming over? Do they require any medication, or do they have any health issues I should be aware of? For dogs, it’s also helpful to know how they do with other dogs and with children, and whether they tend to try to eat food scraps or pick up inedible objects during walks so I can stay extra alert. If your pet prefers space from other animals, I will make sure to keep a safe distance and avoid stressful situations. The more I know about your pet’s personality, habits, and needs, the better I can keep them safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away.
A typical day
I like to keep pets both physically and mentally engaged during our time together. That can include playtime with their favorite toys, interactive games, and walks where they can explore new sights and smells in the neighborhood. If it’s okay with the owner and the pet is comfortable, I’m also happy to let them greet other friendly pets we meet along the way or visit a dog park for safe socialization. If you’re working on any specific training or commands, let me know and I’m happy to reinforce those as well. I’ll also walk as far as they like to walk, so just let me know your preferred walk distance or routine. My priority is always their safety and comfort, so I keep pets within sight at all times and pay close attention to their behavior and energy level. I try to match each pet’s personality—whether that means active play or just relaxed companionship—so they feel secure and happy while you’re away.

Pet care experience
I've cared for a variety of pets over the years—including my own cat for 10 years, a guinea pig for 2, a parakeet, and a hamster. I've also looked after my parents' fish and my brother's Husky, and have completed house sits for both cats and dogs during my travels. I have experience with rabbits as well.

Reviews

Betty was amazing! Very professional and communicative. They took care of my rabbit when they usually do dog and cat sitting and they did a spectacular job!

Great as always!

Betty is a lifesaver! She was able to fulfill a very last minute request when my flight plans changed. Thank you again!!

Betty did an excellent job taking care of my cat. She’s very responsive, professional, and easy to work with, and her notes and pictures were great. I’m already booking her for another round of cat sitting.
