Pet care experience

You have them; I love tending them!

Your fur babies under 25 /pounds and I will have a great time! Rates might vary depending on travel distance, number of additional pets & other duties requested. I do not do any overnight stay and only work within a 5/6 mile distance. I do visits to feed/play or pamper dogs n cats in your home up to 3 times daily. I cannot climb stairs but can do minimal steps. I live near Carmichael and am an animal tender for over fifteen years, also a stay at home author and historian. I will tend to your family pets (including dogs, cats and small barnyard animals) by taking them to groomers, food shopping or vet visits with possibly an additional nominal gas charges. My rapport with animals is great as I am excited to be with them. I have fifteen years experience with timid, apprehensive and fearful chihuahuas, Pekinese, Jack Russell terrier puppy. dashchunds, and several cats. I have visited a cat in owner's home for two months out of each year since 2008. I am available for last minute stays if not already booked. Your dog will be kept on a leash at all times outside your home. About this sitter: I have a Sacramento County license to pet sit, am a non-smoker, non-drinker; have Rover insurance and a background check. I am an animal lover and enjoy the antics, happy dances, excitement, happiness, kisses (no matter how slobbery), playfulness of dogs, cats and barnyard animals. I will visit to be a companion, feed, take to vet, groomers, shopping. I am a stay at home author who lost my dog who was one month shy of 15 years and enjoy getting out of the house to visit your beloved pets. I have sat dogs/cats/squirrels/birds over the last fifteen years at home of animal owner. I have worked as a volunteer for rescue group. See my testimonials. I have owned a dog since my childhood and have been responsible for their feeding, bathing and loving others animals. Why I love dog sitting Most of my life I have had dogs and cats. I lost my almost 15 yr. old dog Dec. 2013. I lived in the country growing up and had pigs, cows, chickens, goats, sheep and cats. I usually have a cat, also. My dogs have always been my companions and traveled with me whenever possible. They stay in the house and are part of the family. I am a non-smoker, non-drinker. Meet my pets One 9 lb torti shell spayed female cat, 12 years. No dog at this time. My experience administering medication Mostly, yes, if the dog is controllable to administer it. In other words, won't bite me. I have administered insulin shots to a 16 yr. old Bischon. Many times I've also given pills by mouth or mixed in food to cats and dogs.

Betty is the best sitter! Extremely flexible, accommodating, and caring. When we get home it’s like the cats didn’t even miss us.

Bettie was everything we could have asked for. This was our and our doggies’ first time with Rover and we were a little nervous going in. But, Bettie made us comfortable before and throughout our trip. One of our dogs was a little fearful but Bettie was patient and then he was fine. We will definitely rebook with Bettie and highly recommend her.

Schedule

I am not working other than pet sitting and occasionally a speech to talk about and sell my book on historic Lodi. Unless already booked, I am usually available.

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Betty can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
Weight about 25 pound limit depending on breed and behavior. Might be extra cost for mileage or home tasks. Any medical problems? None of these would prevent me from sitting the dog. Would need shot information, treats, feeding, meds, allergies and any other important information.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
