Availability
I work from home full time and have many regular Rover dogs who are here throughout the week. I will block out time for vacations, but am almost always available unless I am truly at full capacity. I keep my Rover settings on the lower side to account for the crossover with daycare and boarding dogs. Please reach out if you have schedule questions.

Information Bethany U. would like to know about your pet
Please inform me of any allergies and food sensitivities. It is also very important that I'm aware of destructive behaviors, such as excessive barking, digging, fence reactivity, severe separation anxiety, etc
A typical day
While our dogs are here, I use a clicker and lots of treats and praise to positively reward good behavior. This helps them to bond with me much faster and is very important in the event that I need them to listen to me in an emergency. I also take our dogs outside every day and brush them. Due to the fact that most dogs are allowed on furniture, if a dog comes here extremely dirty and/or shedding, I will bathe them so that they may continue to snuggle with us on the furniture.

Pet care experience
**Please note that as of early Dec 23, my dog has received her annual Bordatella as well as vaccination for Canine Influenza. I will require that all dogs be current on their Bordatella vaccination prior to engaging in a meet and greet.** I have been a Rover sitter for 5+ years and have worked with animals in various capacities for most of my life. My young son has grown up around all of our Rover friends and is an expert at being around even the most anxious dogs. Our dog Birtie is very sweet and accustomed to sharing her toys and humans and she gets along well with all dogs. We have Bark Box toys in baskets all over the house as well as tough bones for them to chew on. I never give them rawhide, nylabone, table scraps, etc. I am currently in the process of receiving my Fear Free daycare and boarding certification as of Aug '24. My prior experience ranges from pet grooming and nail trims to vet tech assistant and training my own dogs. I have also worked in animal rescue, fostered dogs, and have volunteered on the medical rotation at the Wake County SPCA. I have also sewn custom dog collars in my spare time over the years and donated part of my profits to benefit Bailey Chairs for Dogs in honor of a beloved pet who had Canine Megaesophagus. I have been a dog lover my entire life and will provide the best possible care for your pet, so that you can have peace of mind while you are away. Please let me know how I may best assist you.

Always a wonderful stay. Thank you!

Always a great stay with Bethany. She’s loving and patient with our dog and we are so lucky to have her close by

We are so grateful to Bethany for taking good care of our shy pup. He seemed very comfortable at her home and we appreciated her updates and photos.
